Split into decades?

Should we split the charts into 3 separate pages? It seems a bit crowded on the graph and page for each year to be on the same page. UnknownM1 (talk) 03:27, 14 March 2018 (UTC)

Perhaps it could be split into the H-I family, and the H-II family (H-II, H-IIA/B), as is done in the German Wikipedia. On a personal note I'm rather against this, as the launch site statistics graph showing the shift from Osaki to Yoshinobu is a good feature to have. As the H-IIA is planned to retire in 2023, there are only eight flights scheduled in the 2020s . Kind regards, Hms1103 (talk) 15:51, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Customer section

The 'Customer' column in the list should be rephrased into a more appropriate definition such as 'User' (the flag icons used in the H-IIA and H3 lists may be suitable as well), as among the four generations of rockets covered by this page, the H-I, H-II, H-IIB aren't commercial rockets, and they are not for sale (thus no customers). List of H-I and H-II launches → List of H-II and H3 launches – I have been expanding the list of launches of all space launch vehicles and I noticed that this list was created in 2018. Unfortunately despite the naming convention, the H-I and H-II series are almost completely different, and most importantly due to its lower stages' heritage the H-I launches are already listed with the List of Thor and Delta launches tables! While the H-I isn't a complete licensed built version of the Delta (as with the N-I & N-II), it was close enough that McDonnell Douglas once consider bringing this configuration with LH2 2nd stage back to the US in the process of designing what became the Delta II. On the other hand, the H-II is a completely new design. Given the overlap in the H-I launches, I suggest removing them from the current H-I + H-II launch list, and instead pair the H-II series with the H3 rocket under development right now - with the exception of the new first stage engine, the H3 is fairly similar to the H-IIA/B and can be seen as an evolutionary step a la Ariane 5 to Ariane 6. List of H-II and H3 launches → List of H-II, H-IIA, H-IIB, and H3 launches – Per lead, it is not just the list H-II and H3 launches, it also enlists the H-IIA and H-IIB launches. Soumya-8974 ^talk _contribs ^subpages 13:17, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

• Support H-IIA/H-IIB are derivatives of H-II. Falcon Heavy is a derivative of Falcon 9, we have List of Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy launches - so derivative of rockets are named in titles. • Comment: When I moved the article to the current name I was thinking of the H-II(A/B) as a whole related series, hence the current name. • Thanks for the notification. Yeah I thought the proposed name was a little longer then needed. At the same time just "H-II" seems like "not enough" - so yes I would support Galactic Penguin SST's suggestion in including "series" as a good compromise.
