  • (v) indicates the actor lent only their voice for their film character.
  • (y) indicates the actor portrayed the role in a flashback scene or when the character was young.

  • A grey cell (such as the one in the "Armando Dippet" row in the "Philosopher's Stone" column) indicates the character was not in the film adaptation.

The following is a list of cast members who voiced or portrayed characters appearing in the Harry Potter film series. The list is sorted by film and character, as some characters may have been portrayed by multiple actors.

This is an old version of the current list. It shows the list as it would have appeared after two films. There are other subpages for what the list would have appeared like after one, three, four, five and six films.

Notes

edit
A Often, minor child parts – in this case, Harry as an infant – are played by twins or triplets to avoid overworking the children.[5][6] The first names of each of the Saunders triplets are unknown; they were credited in the film as "Saunders triplets".
B A scene with Peeves was filmed for Philosopher's Stone, but ended up being cut from the theatrical version.[7][8]
