better how to catch info (rotom)

edit

i beleive there should be more info on how to catch rotom. i am currently playing this game but cannot find rotom and i do not know exactly what tasks i have to do before catching it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by M877y (talkcontribs).

Wikipedia is not a game guide, so we removed gameplay information. A suitable place to look for that would be Bulbapedia or Gamefaqs. -WarthogDemon 20:12, 24 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I concur that Gamefaqs would be much better. Or Serebii.net. However, Rotom is found in the Old Chateau in the TV at night. It's near the exit to Eterna Forest. I think you have to beat a certain number of gyms to get it.--Zxcvbnm 02:53, 25 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
You have to have the National Pokédex in order to get it--you earn that by seeing all 150 Sinnoh Pokédex Pokémon (it's possible to do this going through the game without trading) and beating the Elite Four and Champion. Do we really need the Special Attack info? Wikipedia is not a game guide, so why would this be needed? TheBlazikenMaster 23:31, 13 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Actually, it might be fine, but if you see stuff like individual numbers or tips, just delete it. It's supposed to be in Bulbapedia, not here.--ZXCVBNM 01:20, 14 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
Why does it have to be at another website? Can it not be here as well, seeing that this is Wikipedia? MiracleMatter 19:46, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply
Well, if it has the highest Special Attack its fine, because certianly that makes it special. But normally, stuff like that would fall under game guide material, which is something Wikipedia is generally not supposed to provide. Ageofe 00:52, 20 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

pictures

edit

could we have pics of the pokemon?81.108.233.59 18:01, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunatly, Wikipedia won't allow us to have individual pictures, and we really arn't supposed to have any if they don't have a free license on them. We used to- if your looking for pictures, you could always check Bulbapedia or pe2k.com Ageofe 18:56, 29 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

no spoiler!

edit

Ach there doesnt seem to be any spoiler alert on parts of teh article. I was looking up dusknoir, and now it ruined the game for me T_T 72.138.255.173 (talk) 16:36, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

That's not our problem. When you come to Wikipeida you should expect to see spoilers. Take caution when you read next time. -Sukecchi (talk) 16:56, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Well that's not very nice Sukecchi. The spoiler comes very unexpected. Perhaps we could reword that paragraph somehow? Cheers, Face 17:01, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Don't make me look like the bad guy. I'm only saying what has been said before. When you come to a site like Wikipedia you should expect to see spoilers. -Sukecchi (talk) 17:26, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Nobody was assuming you're the villain here. But I agree that it spoilers should be expected, I still think it sucks for the IP to being spoiled unexpectedly. TheBlazikenMaster (talk) 22:32, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
It clearly says In Pokemon Mysterious Dungeon 2.... When you see that and you're playing the game; that's when you need to stop reading. -Sukecchi (talk) 23:52, 26 April 2008 (UTC)Reply
Spoilers aren't really necessary in Wikipedia, or most other encyclopedias for that matter... Socalledinfomation (talk) 08:08, 24 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dawn

edit

I think it is worth mentioning that Dawn has a Mamoswine in the Japanese anime BaconBoy914 (talk) 19:22, 16 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wait...I thought it was a Swinub, not a Mamoswine... Well it can't be worth mentioning unless it is proved and confirmed by others. Also why did you post two of the same comment? Socalledinfomation (talk) 08:13, 24 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
Never mind... I saw Dawn's wooly mammoth... Socalledinfomation (talk) 07:40, 7 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

Mehsk??

edit

Who keeps putting these vague listings known as "Locations" under some descriptions of Pokemon? They could be at least formatted into the paragraphs, and maybe specified what game it refers to, AND not link to non-existent pages. I've seen other occurrences of this strange phenomena, probably induced by a user too...uninformed, (or just identity-cautious) to have a screen name. If this stuff was created by a signed-in user, please state who you are peacefully and refrain from this non-helpful material. --From the ever creative mind of 2D Backfire Master (talk) 12:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, those annoying little notes below some Pokémon's sections should be removed, not integrated into the prose. They're a violation of WP:GAMEGUIDE. -sesuPRIME talk • contribs 13:47, 9 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I deleted the "locations" on this page, and it looks much better. Although it might not be as bad, I think the "60's and 70's diner mascots" reference under Lickilicky is kind of stretching the limits of relevant information. 2D Backfire Master is not a diner mascot. (talk) 6:27, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

Italics

edit

Why is most of the Froslass section italicized? Fan of Italics if Used Sparingly, 2D Backfire Master (talk) 18:32, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

It had the code wrong: "'Lass''". I fixed it. Blake (Talk·Edits) 18:39, 3 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Untouched Fragment

I deleted a name in the Dusknoir section the other day because it seemed incorrect. I assume Blake Hall is not the leader of Team Dim Sun in Ranger 2, but who is? 2J Bäkkvire MaestroRQQ et alfavorite haunts 02:18, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

He is. Why do you think it is wrong? Blake (Talk·Edits) 14:15, 4 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
Oops, sorry. Don't have the game, so I wouldn't know. Sounded like an unlikely name for a boss. Forgive my temporary ignorance. 2J Bäkkvire MaestroRQQ et alfavorite haunts 12:05, 5 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
