- I agree. That said, I'm too lazy to do it myself. But it should be fine. jengod 01:09, Feb 13, 2004 (UTC)
Historical Cereals
editShould this be a list of current (modern) cereals only? I included some more historical cereals, not sure if they fit appropriately. Speedeep 06:16, Jun 14, 2004 (UTC)
- No, these are OK. If, of course, you want, you can make List of historical breakfast cereals. --Merovingian ↕ T@Lk 16:23, Jun 14, 2004 (UTC)
I added a lot of historical cereals. I like how it is now so it's not that confusing, since they are all together. --W0rd 06:28, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Movies?
editWhy are Little Man and Lean on Me listed? PrometheusX303 21:44, 4 June 2006 (UTC)
- I'm guessing at one point in time they were a cereal JayKeaton 07:50, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
- I"m suspicious, too, but I'll leave them with the disambiguation tag "(cereal)|". ACS (Wikipedian); Talk to the Ace. See what I've edited. 23:04, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
Alphabetical order
editCan we please keep this in alpahbetical order, if you are unsure what order to put some in, such as "Weet Box" and "Weet", please look up how to alphabeticisze properly before adding it JayKeaton 07:50, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
Cereal Partners Worldwide
editThe note about Cereal Partners was removed a while back. I re-inserted it (albeit shorn of some detail which is in the linked article). Since their products are actually sold using Nestle's brand (although the company is a 50/50 joint-venture with General Mills), I believe that this is a reasonable inclusion. List of cereals by type
editI think it would be helpful to have a list of cereals by type. For instance List of Oat based cereals, a list of rice based cereals, a list of wheat based cereals and so forth 4.143.235.149 03:59, 20 April 2007 (UTC) Nick
Fictional Cereals
editI removed two that were listed because there is no reason to include fictional cereals in a list of actual breakfast cereals. Krusty-Os was actually produced and isn't strictly fictional, thus I left that one on the list. But really, who thinks their favorite fictional cereal has any place on a list like this? There are hundreds of them and I doubt any of us want a list polluted with them all. 24.247.170.144 (talk) 13:38, 12 January 2009 (UTC) Yeah i agree with you. No need to list fictional cereals, i was going to remove them last year but didn't get around to it.

Company check in aisle 3
editThe listed manufacturer for "Gorilla Munch" appears to have been changed to "Unrustled Jimmies." Some clever meme-er seems to have snuck in below the radar. More information at Know Your Meme's article "That Really Rustled My Jimmies."
Missing, types
editThere are lots of brands here, some non brand name types are missing, oatmeal - rolled oats - porridge I would call them breakfast cereals, they're in the cereal aisle in supermarkes. Also need Honey Loops
Carlwev (talk) 13:15, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
- Also Roman cereals, popular on the West Coast. Both a hot cereal and a cold version. 98.117.193.153 (talk) 13:21, 12 September 2024 (UTC)
Cereal release/end dates
editI've been editing this topic for several years now. Exact production/Discontinuation dates before the year 2000 are sometimes hard to come by. For factual sake i have researched production and end dates of all cereals here. If you notice any wrong dates please correct them.
Table Format
editCould this list be presented in a table format. Easy conversion. This would allow sorting by column ie date manufacture etc. Any volunteers?
- This list is too long for a table format and having separate tables for each letter of the alphabet would only make it more disjointed. Plus, several items have lists of their own which would complicate a table arrangement. Tables are best used when there are 3-6 standard elements for every single item on a list (like, Title, Date, Notes, etc.). I think a list is the best format for information like this. Liz Read! Loma Linda Foods
editI would like to see Loma Linda's Ruskets included as well as any other cereals they might have had. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.232.39.119 (talk) 17:10, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
How long ago was that? I don't remember Ruskets, or any other cereal of that brand name. Maybe they were only available regionally. Rags (talk) 01:14, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

Vita Brits
editI note that the list at present claims these were first made in the 1970s, however they were a first made by Cereal Foods Limited in Australia, founded in 1923, link and were even sold in New Zealand starting from 1931, as per the link here. They actually pre-date Weet-Bix interestingly219.88.68.195 (talk) 05:03, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
Meme Cereals
editAt this point I think we can assume that if no source is given for a cereal that shares its name with another article, that means it was listed here as a joke. Is there a reason we're not just deleting all of these immediately? Gasolineman3 (talk) 03:14, 5 October 2021 (UTC)
