Gary Vidal
editIs Gary Vidal actually Metis? The articles that record his electoral win do not mention him being Metis, which would be important considering the coverage of similar districts (Nunavut ran 3 Inuk women and the coverage reflects this), but Vidal was written as being the non-indigenous victor in a majority-indigenous district. Where is the information that supports this claim? https://www.msn.com/en-ca/news/canada/conservative-gary-vidal-wins-majority-indigenous-northern-sask-riding/ar-AAJaPBx https://globalnews.ca/news/6069450/conservative-gary-vidal-ottawa/ Ornithoptera (talk) 04:43, 13 November 2019 (UTC)

Add indigenous Premiers of the territories
editThe article clarifies that Wab Kinew and John Norquay were provincial premiers so maybe we should also list territorial premiers. Richard Nerysoo was the first indigenous Premier for a territory and would be the first First Nations Premier in Canada. Carolyn Cochrane is Metis and is the current premier of the NWT. 38.18.134.194 (talk) 04:40, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
