editDoes this list really have to be split off from Strait? It's not a long list. --seav 07:57, Oct 25, 2003 (UTC)
- Originally I thought so too, but accidently discovered there were some that were not being indexed, and upon re-review, I decided the list is likely to be substantially longer when it's finished. It's also generally better for list of reference tables to link to a list rather than a discursive article; readers go there to find lists, not to find articles that might have a list hidden in them. :-) Stan 16:33, 27 Oct 2003 (UTC)

editShould the list be turned into a table? Including metrics like width/depth, location or joined bodies of water or even maritime traffic estimates could provide a more interesting view than just a list of names. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.180.150.202 (talk) 13:44, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was wondering this myself. I think it'd be worthwhile. Cooljeanius (talk) (contribs) 05:16, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks to unnamed editor for starting this conversion; it's a distinct improvement. An additional column showing the country/countries would be good.---Ehrenkater (talk) 16:07, 25 November 2024 (UTC)
International straits
editWould it be possible to indicate which of these are 'International Straits' in terms of the International Law of the Sea? Angrhoiel (talk) 13:41, 5 January 2018 (UTC)
