Canary Islands

If Las Palmas is on the list, why are not Tenerife South (8.6 million passengers in 2011), Lanzarote (5.5 million), Fuerteventura (4.9 million), Tenerife North (4.1 million) and La Palma (1.1 million) on the list? Jolindbe (talk) 08:51, 7 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Canaries

edit

The Canaries are not in Africa. Not politically, not culturally, not economically, not geographically. Show me one aviation source that lists the Canaries as being in Africa. Until that time, I will be bold and have removed them.--Varavour (talk) 03:00, 23 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Agree, Canaries have nothing to do in the list. For example there are already shown in Europe List, so they can't be in both lists... LillyAndalucia (talk) 13:30, 4 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
The Canary Islands are in Africa. In the discussion above, there are sources that confirm this. For example, they are not shown on the Europe List, because they have nothing to do there.   --Germash19 (talk) 17:24, 11 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, but the Canary Islands have absolutely nothing to do in the African list. Here we are not taking into account physical geography. Yes geographically, the Canaries are part of Africa, but not politically, culturally, or economically. The Canaries are under Spanish sovereignty, which is a European country. So if you don't mind we should remove them, and put them on the Europe list, where they should be :) 11:02, 10 December 2019 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lukes200 (talkcontribs)

Lists are fake?

edit

The second paragraph says that these lists are fake and just for fun. Is this vandalism that wasn't picked up? ArmageddonAviation (talk) 16:19, 26 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Kigali

edit

Is it a joke ? Kigali instead of Johannesburg as the busiest African airport !!! WTF.

This page has gone to the dogs

edit

As at 20 October 2019, the data is so inaccurate it's not even funny. Claims Joburg was 16 million in 2018 yet the last time Joburg was at 16 million is more than a decade ago. No attempts at citing even non-reliable sources. Some vandal has replaced Joburg with Kigali for several years. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Masgwembe (talkcontribs) 04:09, 20 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Airports

edit

Bolee Airport in Addis is missing. Now THE biggest in Africa. 90.196.159.64 (talk) 22:38, 3 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Did anyone follow up with Spanish airports in an African list?

edit

I was trying to find information on the busiest airports in Africa and couldn't help but notice Spanish airports in the list. Can someone explain this? And why is the information still available as "accurate?" TIA — Preceding unsigned comment added by Elishama Kaunda (talkcontribs) 05:10, 16 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Data misleading

edit

Some uploaded sources are not consistent with an annual calendar. For example, [1] uploaded for the 2022 rank has the data provided for the April 2022 - March 2023 period rather then a 2022 calendar year.

I fixed it for 2022, but it also could be present in other refs from the website. Respublik (talk) 19:22, 29 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
