Possible COI
editUser:Mduvekot, I looked at User:LokaiPR's edits. Most of them are small tweaks and the POV edit was reverted by User:Jytdog. Given that it was fixed, is the COI template actually needed? -Reagle (talk) 16:20, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- I reverted [1]. Mduvekot (talk) 16:48, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- I restored it. The page needs actual, well, you know, work done. It is a poor encyclopedia article but a nice advertisement. User:Reagle are you not editing directly here due to some COI of your own? If so you need to disclose that. Thx Jytdog (talk) 18:42, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- Jytdog, I have nothing to do with the company nor agree with your belief that all WikiEd activity is inherent COI. In any case, I'd suggest using the template most appropriate to specific concerns rather than the moot COI one -Reagle (talk) 20:18, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- I was just asking why you didn't make the edit yourself. It was odd. The academic issue is not relevant here. Jytdog (talk) 20:35, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- Jytdog, ah, I asked here because I didn't understand why Mduvekot added the template after the problem was already fixed. It looks like it is resolved now though. -Reagle (talk) 21:17, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
- As I explained, [2] it was a simple matter of courtesy. I wasn't sure that you had noticed that someone, seemingly acting on behalf of the subject, had altered the content of the page. I stumbled upon it while doing NPP review with a set of search terms that usually help identify contributions by undisclosed paid editors. Mduvekot (talk) 21:54, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
