Deletions
editIn September the articles entire destination section including the table describing current Lombok air routes and operators was deleted by an editor [124x247x221x146] who seems to take pleasure in deletions and reverts on aviation pages. I understand this editor is somewhat unpopular for this de-constructive behaviour on other aviation pages. As the deletion was apparently made on the justification that LIA was still a pre-operational airport I have re-established the table and it's intro paragraph here on the discussion page. I have also re-instated the deleted destinations section to the article with a paragraph describing the transfer of operations and routes from AMI to this new airport upon opening and included a link to the destinations section of the Selaparang Airport article. I hope [124x247x221x146] can resist the urge to vandalise further if he revisits this or other articles where he has been deleting properly researched and referenced updates to information and replacing with outdated or erroneous information from previous edits or elsewhere. I might suggest checking the flight stats, the airlines own schedules or the cited articles prior to doing further edits. Felix505 (talk) 13:25, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
I have pointed out to [124x247x221x146] on his talk page that this user has deleted information that indicated current routes serviced by Lombok. As LIA is replacing AMI and Lombok is a fairly small island I consider it quite appropriate to list routes currently serving Lombok in the table supplied to the article describing the new airport. It is a bit of a no brainier that when operations are transferred across that the existing routes will likewise also transfer across. Therefore these are obviously the initial routes for the airport. As the article makes it quite clear the airport is under construction and as the table was appropriately titled I consider the edit deleting the Destinations section from the article to have been absurd.Felix505 (talk) 13:42, 23 September 2010 (UTC)
- That is the most absurd argument I have heard!
- There are NO flights from this airport, because it is not yet open. How then can you stick a table in there with a list of airlines and destinations?
- If, as you claim, this is a list of destinations from another airport on the same island, then they should be listed in that airport's article, not here.
- FYI, I fixed the Selaparang Airport article earlier as well, and removed the excess and incorrect information that did not belong in the airlines table.
- The only other thing I removed from the Lombok article was the contact information and phone numbers of random people.124x247x221x146 (talk) 16:15, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

Very easy to answer this I thought it was already explained to you here and elsewhere. Is there a comprehension issue? To assist, again, cut and pasted from above, just read the words:

So is it really that hard to understand. It is about the operations scheduled to be moved across to the airport when it opens soon. If you had even skim read the article you might have worked it out. The new airport has a publicsally annnounced plan and it involves Moving all the existing operations at the existing airport across to this one. That is all dealt with in the article and is sourced to public announcements and the official airport project documentation. That is why it was in the article. The only absurd thing going on here is your diabolical disingenuousness. You should have a special title, I think Deleter would suit you well User:124x247x221x146 (talk) /blocked User:124.247.221.146 (talk) and other previous user names. Do you ever actually create any content or research some sources or even read any WP articles, or do you just delete and edit war all over the Aviation category articles 24/7, just curious as you seem to have quite a history. Second largest area - fact query
editThere is a statement under Location that 'Lombok International Airport has the second largest area after Soekarno–Hatta International Airport'. I assume this means the second largest airport by area in Indonesia, and is this true/still valid? Source article is broken link so can't verify — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.167.250.105 (talk) 08:43, 4 July 2018 (UTC)
Why is there repeted name of the airport?
editHello world, I am not really experienced on editting Wikipedia. However, I do not understand why the same name is repeted after writing „formerly known as“? Is there a reason for that. Thank you for your responce.
