Early talk
editAs a former colleague of Eskil on the Uni-verse project, I have possible conflict of interest in editing this article. I do, however, belive that the subject matter has sufficient notability due to the extensive coverage of it on gaming sites, presentations at the Game Developers Conference and articles on tech-related sites such as Wired. elmindreda (talk) 11:03, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Since the page is still a stub and you're the only author, I'd suggested adding inline citations as required by WP:V. This will help in the long run, as right now we have no idea what each reference is supporting. You may want to find some better sources as well. As it stands, we've got an interview at Gamasutra (which is good), a trivial article in Wired (would be good if not so trivial), a bunch of videos from a seminar (iffy, may point at notability but doesn't necessarily mean anything), and an article at Massively by an author who seems to be notable. I think it's leaning in the direction of notability right now, but from what we have there should be more out there. Wyatt Riot (talk) 15:53, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
- Since I probably won't have time to make a lot of edits during the coming weeks, I thought I'd write to say "I agree" and "thank you". --elmindreda (talk) 20:21, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
- I've tried as best as possible to make the citations inline as required. If you have some time, could you look it over and make sure that the claims are linked to the appropriate reference and possibly fill in the rest? Wyatt Riot (talk) 18:30, 12 May 2010 (UTC)

Screenshots
editI've got a load of screenshots hosted on my fansite, and a few GB of them on my hard drive, is there anything in particular that's needed for the article? 82.5.69.140 (talk) 11:10, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- We should probably have cover art first, but I'm not sure there's such a thing for this game. Beyond that, we can probably use screenshots of different aspects of the game. Make sure to read through WP:VGIMAGES first. Cheers! Wyatt Riot (talk) 12:37, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- There's no cover art, the game is distributed exclusively as a digital download, and there is no artwork within the downloaded file. Eskil has some screenshots of the game on his website, so those are probably the best ones to use, as they illustrate the graphical style of the game perfectly. I've got various screenshots of general in game landscapes, as well as different screenshots of AI types, including the characters and the settlement architecture, which could be used to expand the article into mentioning the AI. I'll have a good read through of that link before adding anything to the article.
Come to think of it, every half hour or so in game, the word "Love" flashes up on screen, along with the text "A Game by Esil Steenberg" so a screenshot containing that could be perfect to use. 77.96.80.126 (talk) 17:38, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, it would be nice to have the title somewhere on the main screenshot but it's probably not necessary or desireable if we include others (maybe as a gallery?). I'm fairly sure that user-created images would be preferred to Eskil's as they are likely copyrighted, but I'm not an expert on this aspect of VG articles. If in doubt, go with what WP:VGIMAGES recommends. :) Cheers! Wyatt Riot (talk) 17:49, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- You can download the icon sheet which includes the Love title from the game client, which may be a good image to use. I've also just created an account so I don't need to keep signing my IP anymore. A gallery of images would make sense, as the graphical style of the game is so different that it needs to really be shown. Iamacyborg (talk) 19:18, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Screenshots would be preferred. Anything made by Eskil is likely copyrighted and isn't allowed for a lot of things. (More about that at WP:COPYVIO.) I've never added/created a gallery for a page, but the directions at WP:GALLERY don't look that difficult.
- Please don't take this as me asking that you do all of this yourself, either. Any screenshots you'd like to contribute would be great but I could also track down some templates requesting that others contribute images as well. I don't play the game myself otherwise I'd take some.
- Also, welcome to Wikipedia. :) Wyatt Riot (talk) 21:01, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks :) I've got a good title image to use, I just can't upload it yet as I'm not a confirmed or autoconfirmed user. I can provide you with the image if you'd like to do it though. I've had a read of the relevant pages with regards to the image and I believe that it would be a good one to use. I've also got a number of images I use on a wiki dedicated to the game that I'd be happy to add here as well. Iamacyborg (talk) 10:51, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
