editWP:NALBUMS states that "In general, if the musician or ensemble is notable, and if the album in question has been mentioned in multiple reliable sources, then their officially released albums may have sufficient notability to have individual articles on Wikipedia.
The Four Freshmen are notable musicians - a musical group that has been in existence (in various incarnations) from 1948 to the present day - thus all of their released albums qualify (as per above) have "sufficient notability to have individual articles on Wikipedia".
The Freshmen are not only notable in their own right as performers but also as influencers for future vocal groups such The Beach Boys, The Manhattan Transfer. Take 6 and many more.
If some 14 albums by the Sex Pistols have individual articles on Wikipedia I see no problem whatsoever with this Four Freshmen album Lost LoveThumper2 (talk) 16:20, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
- Unfortunately, I see a problem. What about the "if the album in question has been mentioned in multiple reliable sources" portion? Please add references to the article to prove its notability. Thanks. Guoguo12--Talk-- 16:27, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
- I have a problem as well. If Love Lost is to be removed I would insist that every one of the Sex Pistols listed albums be removed as well. Not one of them is musically notable. Note in your message above you state that "IF the album in question has been mentioned" not "AND the album in question has been mentioned". The Four Freshmen are a VERY notable vocal group; their worth is expressed in the volume of their recorded output. Love Lost is but one of that expression. I could provide a long list of (so-called) music artists whose 'worth' is questionable. I am sure without trawling through Wikipedia many of these have listed albums.Thumper2 (talk) 18:10, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
- I also have another problem. Your first argument insisting that removing one album would mean removing all is not logical. "The status of articles on other similar topics has no necessary bearing on a particular article" (WP:ALLORNOTHING). Also, I believe you are quoting the policy out of context. It says "and if the album in question has been mentioned" not just "if". Guoguo12--Talk-- 18:22, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
- Discussion currently underway at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Love Lost (Four Freshmen album). Guoguo12--Talk-- 04:43, 31 December 2010 (UTC)

I have fixed the problems, and thus removed the templates regarding notability and references. I understand that the Articles for Deletion template must be left in place until the discussion is closed. --Alan W (talk) 18:32, 31 December 2010 (UTC)
