Lycoming T55Honeywell T55 – I'd like to put to a vote changing the name of this article from Lycoming T55 to Honeywell T55. The current title is no longer accurate and is not how the topic is discussed today. Here are several sources that illustrate today's references to the proposed title: [1], [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]. Thank you for your consideration. Mcheung90 (talk) 16:56, 2 November 2021 (UTC)— Relisting. Mcheung90 (talk) 18:55, 9 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

  • Tentative Support with two comments:
    • The name should not be changed merely because it is not the current official name. It should only be changed if the common name used in independent reliable sources has changed, and something that has been around for a long time or was more noteworthy in the past than in more recent times may remain primarily referred to by its older name (see Cat Stevens, Stokely Carmichael, etc.). As the proposer has cited several sources that use the new name, and no one has commented saying those are not representative sources, I'm willing to assume that this issue is resolved, but it seems worth mentioning.
    • The same name change issue may affect other related articles such as Lycoming ALF 502, Lycoming T53, Lycoming LTS101 and others. I don't know whether other renamings would be controversial or not, but please consider WP:RMCI#NOTOTHERPAGES.
