Please add german wiki page: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Projekt_Mose#Hochwasserschutz-Bauwerk_Mose to the language section of this page. Thank you ;-) --131.159.74.35 (talk) 22:22, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Anti-MOSE sentiment is now gone completely!

edit

Anti-MOSE movement is now essentially over! Year 2010 is already the worst year ever, with regards to Acqua Alta, with already 180 (!) occurances in Piazza San Marco until nov. 30 and 200+ plus excepted until Dec. 31, 2010. That is not a situation that can be economically sustained, as every flood means a lost business day to shops located at the ground floor (people live on higher floors only).

The 136-142cm flood of 2010 Dec. 04 was the breaking point, nobody ever dares to speak against MOSE since then, because it became obvious that Venezia is GAME OVER without some kind of flood barrier. Now the only question is if the full MOSE system can be hurried into regular operation before the officially mandated 2014 date? It looks like Venice does not have that much time: if MOSE cannot start to isolate the lagoon by autumn 2012, no few dilapidated buildings will start to collapse in Venezia, which would be a world-wide PR-seppuku for the Republic of Italy. 91.82.138.70 (talk) 21:01, 11 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

MOSE

edit

Article MOSE, the system to protect Venice and the lagoon from flood, is already available in WIKIPEDIA, made by my college. Recently, we have up dated the Italian version (text and images) and I would like to do the same for the english pages (see http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOSE, especially TALK http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discussione:MOSE starting from November 2012). Please let me know, thank you --Salvecreinglese (talk) 14:16, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

surces

edit

I add some surces; moreover - Techcentralstation.com - NOVA Sinking City of Venice does not work. to be delated? --85.18.22.80 (talk) 13:22, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

I'm working on a general copyediting of the article, section by section, to update and reorganize the existing information. Instead of deleting dead links, it's better to find updated references if they are relevant. --Ita140188 (talk) 13:57, 4 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

Outdated Completion Estimates

edit

A "75% completion" figure seems to be all over the page, but the article cited is from 2008, which is a full five years ago. Are there any more recent estimates as to how close the project is to done? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.206.109.33 (talk) 19:12, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

According to the official website it looks like works are still at 75%... supposing that the "Agosto 2013" (August 2013) at the top of the page is the date of the latest update. --Ita140188 (talk) 19:29, 23 September 2013 (UTC)Reply
The Guardian reported on January 6 2019 that "The latest estimated completion date is 2022". == Jmc (talk) 08:20, 18 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
