Greetings! I have done an internet search of nearly every paragraph or sentence in the article to make sure that they were not "stolen" from somewhere, and I think everything on this page is honest work ... two sentences from the introduction ("When Helen feeds Martha some alphabet soup, the soup travels to her brain instead of her stomach resulting in her ability to speak. The show focuses on synonyms and vocabulary, with each episode featuring an underlying theme illustrated with key words.") do appear in a brief blurb on one television station's site, but my gut feeling is that the sentence could have originated here on Wikipedia.--RainbowWerewolf (talk) 23:12, 10 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

General copy editing

Salutations! ... I have gone through the article and attempted to fix any grammatical errors that jumped out at me, though I may have been incorrect in my judgment, so someone may want to look over it again before removing the tag at the top of the article referring to the copy editing. I removed the capitalization from words like "Season One" and "Season Two" and made them "season one", etc., because this is what I found when looking at a couple of featured television show articles.--RainbowWerewolf (talk) 00:10, 11 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Availability??

edit

Can someone add a note on where this TV show is viewable in its entirety (ie all episodes/all seasons)? I heard that Hulu or Amazon Prime might be the source but it's hard to confirm. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.128.19.27 (talk) 19:43, 21 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Cancellation?

edit

Where are you getting information about the shows cancellation? The episode guide says nothing about this, and contains episodes from a sixth season. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2606:4100:1840:808:1848:808:0:79DC (talk) 03:47, 16 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Suggested merger of List of Martha Speaks characters into Martha Speaks (TV series)

edit

I propose that List of Martha Speaks characters be merged into Martha Speaks (TV series). I think that the content in LoMSc can easily be explained in the context of MS(TVs), and MS(TVs) is of a reasonable size that the merging of LoMSc will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned.

I am proposing this for two main reasons -

One, the characters list fails WP:GNG. No sources except sourcing the show itself. It has been tagged with {{notability}} and {{no references}}. Zero RS published on such characters. I don't even think MS itself could meet notability guidelines - so does the characters with a separate article all together. Furthermore, I have seen pages on much more notable fictional works that don't have list of ## characters pages.

Second - the list is a frequent WP:SOCK target, especially from sockpuppets of User:Simulation12 and User:JoeyPknowsalotaboutthat. The sockpuppets believe the characters are notable, when they clearly aren't. Both have caused massive disruption on the page. Letting the article remain separate is WP:DNFTT.

Furthermore, in the Spanish and Portuguese articles, there is a massive list of characters in the article about the show itself. I think the episodes list can stay separate because the episodes are slightly more notable and have reliable second-party sources. 47.72.38.3 (talk) 07:32, 28 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Why is this TV show not notable compared to others?

edit

Ever since this article was started two major sock farms (User:Simulation12 and User:JoeyPknowsalotaboutthat) have been targeting it for the exact same reason: why is this show not as notable as other television shows that have entries here? Why does Martha Speaks and its subelements fail to meet WP:GNG as much as other shows? If there is more RELIABLE information on the net maybe we should add it as sources to establish stronger notability, so that the socking may stop. 58.93.137.146 (talk) 06:06, 9 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
