Notability discussion
editHi, i'm unsure on the subjects notability, please give your thoughts on this. Zindor (talk) 21:48, 18 August 2020 (UTC)
- I’d say easily met, though quality could be improved. Major award winner, worked on major projects of historic significance. Also looks to be of retirement age, so though he may still be working ajd around for many more years, I don’t see this as a puff piece for commercial promotion. Montanabw(talk) 17:14, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you. Couple of questions. Is there any awards that stand out for establishing notability of an architect? How is Ashley gaining the notability from the projects, is he inheriting it from the notable buildings or was his involvement in the projects significantly featured in reliable independent secondary sources? Thank you for your help, Zindor (talk) 17:54, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
- Maybe the right place to ask that question is WP:Architecture. They probably have the best take. I just spotted this on a drive by at the biography project and took a quick look. My recommendation is to see if you can find those questions yourself first, then ask for help, then if you are running into a blank wall, then decide your next steps. - I just turned up an en-wiki list of notable architect awards, and a shorter one online. Off to a good start, thanks for the reminder that i possess a brain myself lol. Kind regards, Zindor (talk) 18:36, 19 August 2020 (UTC)
