Incorrect details

edit

This article lists Maryse as a retired professional wrestler. I'd like to correct that, Maryse is still competing on the indie scene and is NOT retired just because she was let go from WWE doesn't mean she just retired. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.138.182 (talk) 03:07, 27 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

She isn't retired? Bryanmartinez1234 (talk) 01:14, 30 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

Divas Title

edit

Should we allow Maryse winning the Divas Title to be mentioned on here before it airs on Friday night? Steveweiser (talk) 18:03, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

You know, I've been fighting that since last night because there was no source. However, it is apparent that this change has occurred and as much as I hate to say it, wiki is not censored and it should be listed as such. Sorry if this upsets any fans out there who were hoping on the Friday showing. Cheers!!--EmperorofBlackPeopleEverywhere (talk) 18:10, 23 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Face Turn?

edit

is she a face now with all those cheers or was it just cause she was in T.O that time —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.137.92.174 (talk) 19:54, 28 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

It was her home turf, per se, so she obviously was cheered. She's still a heel. PCE (Talk)
Second. During his anti-american gimmick, everywhere except the USA, Bret Hart was cheered and he was still considered a heel. I think Maryse is what they refer to as a popular heel. Also another example of this is when Randy Orton still gets RKO chants. --FaithLehaneTheVampireSlayer 20:50, 24 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is this notable?

edit

"On March 2, 2009 edition of RAW, Maryse appeared as a special guest commentator, and then ended up with a suprise attack on the Women's Champion Melina." Everybody except "NiciVampireHeart" answer please. Josephjames21 (talk) 16:19, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Excuse me, but I'm entitled to give my opinion. it's not notable. One appearance means nothing. If a feud develops then and only then does it become notable. Other than that it's just week-by-week. And don't try and tell me that a feud is going to happen. As I've explained to you on your talk page, that is just speculation and crytsal balling on your part. ♥NiciVampireHeart16:22, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Excuse me, but you already gave your opinion. I don't need to know it again, If you want to give it to other people that's okay, but I don't need to know it. You took it out of contex. Josephjames21 (talk) 16:32, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
I was giving it to other people, i.e. the other people who will be commenting in this discussion as I already told you on your talk page. ♥NiciVampireHeart16:49, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Okay since she gave her opinion, I'm going to have to give mine. Mine is I think it's notable because Maryse appeared on a different brand as a different role and she attacked a notable person, and most likely a feud will come of it because that is how WWE works. Besides, I didn't express in the article that a feud would come of it, that is just my opinion, and technically it's not a week-by-week event because Maryse didn't appear on any brand previous to Yesterday's RAW. Josephjames21 (talk) 17:08, 3 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

It's notable if something comes off it, otherwise it's just a trivia point, a "week to week" entry. Wait a week or two to see if it actually goes somewhere. MPJ-DK (talk) 09:48, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree with Nici and MPJ-DK, it's not notable unless a feud develops. For your "that's how WWE works" comment, check out WP:CRYSTAL. Thanks, Genius101Guestbook 13:08, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Trivia, Week By Week, and Crystal ball. Not notable, as of yet. Darrenhusted (talk) 15:12, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you know "how the WWE works" then you should know that how the WWE works is that they through a bunch of strands out there for the Divas and then haphazardly decide which to pursue. It's a bit like pebble dashing. Likely this will lead to something but there's a chance it won't so at the moment it's, in effect, an incomplete sentence. Tony2Times (talk) 18:53, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's not notable right now. WWE ignores the brand split whenever they want too, so that's not a big deal. We also can't speculate it will lead to a feud (which even if it did wouldn't mean it goes in the article). Also, you can't tell certain people not to answer as they only makes you look bad and you can't stop them from commenting. TJ Spyke 19:48, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
Its not notable because it does not add anything to her career or enhance it in anyway.--RUCӨ 21:05, 4 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Well It Is Notable Bcoz It Just A LiL Hype For Tha 25 Diva Battle Royal At Wrestlemania25 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.73.105.64 (talk) 04:56, 18 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

First French Canadian

edit

Keep the part where it says that Maryse is the first French Canadian Diva to win the Divas Championship!Team French TKO (talk) 15:37, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Not without a reliable source to cite this. Bmg916Speak 14:20, 28 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Isnt this obvious though Maryse is FRENCH ok. I know michelle mcCool isnt from canada so it should be put in the article.Team French TKO II (talk) 21:01, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
It's not notable anyways. TJ Spyke 21:03, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict) She is the second person to hold the championship, so she is the "first" of a lot of things to hold it....first French Canadian, first non-American, first person under 5'9", first person with blonde hair (um, nevermind). It isn't important in the slightest. Nikki311 21:06, 29 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Knee Injury

edit

I read on link title that maryse was seen by Dr. James Andrews, and that she may have a serious knee injury. is it ok to put that in the article, or stay safe and see where the story goes? Here is the link for the story: http://nodq.com/wwe/250750828.shtml --JereMerr 03:00, 28 July 2009 (UTC)

nodq.com is not a reliable source, so we leave it out until a reliable one comes along.. ♥NiciVampireHeart12:02, 28 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Who put on the list of wwe employees that maryse is out? i thought there were no veriviable sources for the new injury?----JereMerr 01:14, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Official Website?

edit

According to her twitter account, Maryse will soon have an official website. Not adding it to the wiki article yet, just thought this should be brought up to attention. --FaithLehaneTheVampireSlayer 02:35, 2 December 2009 (UTC) She has a website now at frenchkissmaryse.comReply

Maryse's residence

edit

On Maryse's twitter, * Maryse Ouellet on Twitter , she clearly states that she does indeed reside in Los Angeles, CA, and not Miami, FL, as the (outdated) WOW reference had listed.

Hmm. I wonder if http://www.facebook.com/besexymaryseouellet#!/besexymaryseouellet?sk=info could be used as a reference? That's Maryse's own account... Starship.paint (talk) 14:03, 6 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Maryse OuelletMaryse – As far as I'm concerned, she's never used he full name in WWE, so she's best known as just Maryse, not as Maryse Ouellet. GeicoHen (talk) 20:35, 14 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

A possible return to a WWE former Diva Maryse Ouellet

edit

Possible return to a WWE diva name Maryse Ouellet She confirmed that she has a possible return to the WWE rumors were added. Maryse says she will return some Year, and she will act again in the WWE. Bryanmartinez1234 (talk) 20:48, 30 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

"Possible" is speculation. It is also possible she will join TNA or possible she will never wrestle again. We don't add speculation to articles. If she returns to WWE, it will be documented then after she returns; not before. NiciVampireHeart 15:53, 1 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation

edit

Maiden name also needs an IPA. Would be that "Oo-yay" or something? Mac Dreamstate (talk) 23:30, 28 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Daughters' names necessary?

edit

Is it necessary to mention the subject's daughters' names? They are only notable for being Ouellet's daughters and as per WP:BLPNAME, for a single event (being born) although being sourced properly. STATicVapor, what do you think? - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 11:23, 25 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Usually I would say not name them, but since the children are a part of a reality show where their names are public, maybe listing them would be okay. StaticVapor message me! 19:22, 26 September 2019 (UTC)Reply
STATicVapor, Didn't know they were part of a reality show. That makes their names "widely known". It is OK to keep their names then. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 07:53, 27 September 2019 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in Maryse Ouellet

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Maryse Ouellet's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "FWEwomens":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 10:19, 8 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Maryse OuelletMaryse Mizanin – Ouellet was her née and Mizanin is her legal/real name; e.g. see info about her company. She uses Maryse Mizanin as her identity on all of her social media accounts. IMDb uses Maryse Mizanin. Sources use Maryse Mizanin too; e.g. [1][2][3]. Any specific reason to keep her birth name? Even her WWE name Maryse is much much more well-known than her née. Wario-Man talk 09:48, 5 July 2021 (UTC) Relisting. Wario-Man talk 08:59, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Yes. And Maryse (wrestler) looks fine too but her current WWE/wrestling career is not as notable as her other works in my opinion; e.g. Miz & Mrs. vs. her sporadic WWE appearances since 2016. Wario-Man talk 13:10, 6 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
If she appears as Maryse Mizanin, no problem. Miz and Mrs has strong numbers. --HHH Pedrigree (talk) 15:20, 6 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
