Talk:Channel 8 (Singaporean TV channel)

Date

The date is misleading because it could be either DDMM or MMDD. --218.186.9.3 14:19, 17 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

203.161.80.148 13:25, 26 February 2007 (UTC) There is an error in the article but I do not know how to correct it. Belinda Lee listed in the actress is a different actress from its wiki link. Apparently there is another actress called Belinda Lee but the article is referring to a different person.Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Sbc8 logo.JPG

edit

Image:Sbc8 logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Template deletion nomination

edit

I've nominated the by-year navigation templates for deletion. My principle argument is the above section, but it's not the only argument. See and comment at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2012 November 14#MediaCorp Channel 8 guides. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 20:24, 14 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please help remove HLS_Stream and the URL http://tglch8-lh.akamaihd.net/i/channel8_fta@334582/master.m3u8 from the body as it is obsolete.

Thank you KaushikJainMC (talk) 07:53, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Note: Perhaps removing it will only be meaningful by deleting the article entirely since the channel no longer exists as independent entity as it was. So all these info I think is retained for posterity and work of Wikipedia as encyclopedia. Once you understand it well may be there is no need to see link still usable  — Ammarpad (talk) 08:56, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Done. I am the one who didn't understand it well before. Thank you.  — Ammarpad (talk) 09:19, 7 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

With the evolved needs of audiences, channel 8 has revolved by shifting the viewerships online (Toggle). Toggle is Mediacorp's digital entertainment service that brings videos on-demand, TV channels, live sporting action and entertainment news to viewers across multiple devices - mobile devices, computers, Smart TVs, Apple TV and Chromecast. 219.74.184.237 (talk) 08:24, 20 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
