Name, Facility Changes

edit

The Mercy Health name has been retired in favor of Trinity Health systemwide. General Hospital and Hackley Hospital in Muskegon are now closed. 2601:407:C581:7630:0:0:0:8106 (talk) 01:46, 23 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved. Unopposed nomination (there's an unaddressed comment with a follow-up question, but it doesn't give any indication of opposition to the proposal). Mercy Health (Michigan)Trinity Health Michigan – Mercy Health has merged with Saint Joseph Mercy Health System to form Trinity Health Michigan. Currently, Trinity Health Michigan redirects to the article for the parent organization, Trinity Health (Livonia, Michigan). Confusingly, the parent organization happens to also be located in Michigan, and uses similar branding. In a separate discussion, I have proposed that Trinity Health (Livonia, Michigan) be moved to Trinity Health, which should hopefully make things a bit less confusing. The name "Trinity Health Michigan" is used several times on this organization's website (https://www.trinityhealthmichigan.org/), whereas the parent organization is virtually always called just "Trinity Health". Ah, I forgot to clarify: I think it makes the most sense to rename this article rather than creating a new article because Mercy Health only existed as a separate entity for about 11 years, so I don't think there's much need to separate the material. Saint Joseph Mercy Health System existed for over a hundred years so I think it would be reasonable to keep it as a separate article (but I could also see the argument for deleting it if someone wants to put effort into the merged article). Three articles would definitely be overkill though. IagoQnsi (talk) 22:07, 16 March 2024 (UTC)Reply
