He was murdered
editI'm told Conway was murdered/assassinated at home by republican opponents in the twentieth century. His son left Ireland as a result. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.249.184.203 (talk) 12:47, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
- A citation to a reliable source that describes the circumstances of his death would be good to have for the article. — BarrelProof (talk) 02:39, 7 August 2023 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved Michael Conway (politician) to Michael Conway (Irish nationalist politician) and Moved Michael Conway (Irish senator) to Michael Conway (senator) History6042 (talk) 11:43, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
- Michael Conway (politician) → Michael Conway (member of parliament)
- Michael Conway (Irish senator) → Michael Conway (senator)
– The current Michael Conway (politician) title seems ambiguous, as it could refer to either of these men. Both of them are Irish, so including "Irish" in "Irish senator" doesn't seem to assist the disambiguation, unless "Irish" is taken to refer only the Republic of Ireland. — BarrelProof (talk) 02:39, 7 August 2023 (UTC) — Relisting. — DaxServer (t · m · e · c) 19:38, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- For the MP, I would suggest either Michael Conway (MP) or Michael Conway (Irish Nationalist MP), as this is the more common disambiguator used. Spleodrach (talk) 08:19, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support - Michael Conway (Irish nationalist politician) as below. Spleodrach (talk) 13:26, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support Michael Conway (politician) → Michael Conway (Irish nationalist politician), rather than MP. This would be our usual disambiguator. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:56, 7 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support variant of first, oppose second Michael Conway (politician) → Michael Conway (Irish nationalist politician), as Necrothesp In ictu oculi (talk) 10:28, 8 August 2023 (UTC)
- Why do you oppose the second move? — BarrelProof (talk) 15:09, 8 August 2023 (UTC)

- Support alt Michael Conway (MP) for first and support for second. estar8806 (talk) ★ 19:58, 13 August 2023 (UTC)
- Please explain why we should use a different disambiguator for him than for every other politician. For politicians of the United Kingdom, we use for disambiguation, in descending order of preference, (politician), (British politician), ([English, Scottish, Welsh, Irish, Northern Irish] politician), ([party] politician), and only finally ([constituency] MP). We never use simply (MP). This is a longstanding convention. -- Necrothesp (talk) 08:55, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
- Support Michael Conway (politician) → Michael Conway (Irish nationalist politician), support 2nd per above.--Ortizesp (talk) 08:33, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
