editAdditionally, the controls were initially labelled in Russian.
I believe the labels were in Cyrillic script as Russian is the spoken language. I have a photo in one of my books showing the markings if that would help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grumpyoldgeek (talk • contribs) 18:50, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
The B&O also had a famous "Little Joe" class (aka the "Dockside" switchers). We need== Request to move ==
I to have a separate page for each railroad.
- Sounds reasonable, but since this locomotive model was used both on MILW and CSSSB, I think Little Joe (electric locomotive) would be a better destination (assuming that the B&O class were steam or diesel locomotives). Slambo (Speak) 10:29, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ah yes, I'd forgotten that detail. So this one would move as you propose, and the other would be Little Joe (Baltimore and Ohio locomotive). Mangoe 10:46, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Result: page moved. Eugène van der Pijll 16:51, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- And I just moved the todolist to the new location too. Slambo (Speak) 17:15, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- I've updated the disambiguation page to match. Mangoe 18:04, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Article name
editI'm not doing a formal move request yet, but I think this article is better located at Little Joe (electric locomotive), where it was from 2006–2012. The Milwaukee Road did use the EF-4 and EP-4 designations for its locomotives,[1] but that designation is not (so far as I can tell) ever used to describe the locomotives on the South Shore or the Companhia Paulista de Estradas de Ferro. The South Shore called them the 800-class, but secondary literature also employs the "Little Joe" moniker.[2] Secondary literature on the Milwaukee Road calls them the "Little Joe" as well in lieu of the formal designation.[3] General works use "Little Joe" to refer to the class collectively.[4] The use of the general term makes sense here. - Agreed - "Little Joe" seems to be the best available name for the whole class of locomotives. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 20:51, 6 May 2017 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: page moved. Andrewa (talk) 11:57, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
Milwaukee Road class EF-4 and EP-4 → Little Joe (electric locomotive) – Per my rationale in #Article name above. "Milwaukee Road class EF-4 and EP-4" refers only to the locomotives owned by the Milwaukee Road and does not encompass those owned by other railroads. The "Little Joe" name, though informal, is the WP:COMMONNAME for this type of locomotive and widely used in the secondary literature, including that which focus on the Milwaukee Road. Mackensen (talk) 17:20, 29 July 2017 (UTC)--Relisting. DrStrauss talk 17:27, 9 August 2017 (UTC)
- Support Little Joe is, as Mackensen shows, the more common name in historical literature. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 18:36, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
- Closing comments: I note firstly that this reverses the move 19:02, 1 January 2012 Ferroequus (talk | contribs | block) . . (48 bytes) (+48) . . (moved Little Joe (electric locomotive) to Milwaukee Road class EF-4 and EP-4: Title changed to reflect the actual designation of these locomotives, as 'Little Joe' was an informal nickname.), and secondly, that the undiscussed move in question was contrary to previous consensus, see above, and thirdly, that the rationale given for the undiscussed move seems to me to be contrary to policy. Survivors section
editCan someone clarify what this (at the bottom of the section) " As of 2008, 6455 were transferred in safe for the stop-station gare and now is safe in a rail station-museum" means? I'm afraid I didn't quite get it, and I speak railfan-ese fairly well... Thanks! ++Lar: t/c 23:56, 10 February 2021 (UTC)
- @Lar: Someone poorly wrote that. I'm pretty sure they meant that FEPASA #6455 was preserved in a museum. --𝕒𝕥𝕠𝕞𝕚𝕔𝕕𝕣𝕒𝕘𝕠𝕟𝟙𝟛𝟞 🗨️ 🖊️ 05:02, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
