editThere are so many characters in the list... many are unactive, should we just put down characters which are notable in the list? -User:Sandiego92039
Question
editIf a new character page was made...how could you add it to the box?
Just Curious. Thanks.
- Yeah, I need to know how to edit the box, because Marie Warner should be moved to Villains.Eric Sieck 02:57, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
Deredlinking
editI think maybe this list should be seperated into a group of core characters for each season, and then all the minor characters (minor maybe meaning they were only in one season). And we need to figure out how to cut down on the red links in this article, possibly by first sorting out the list. -- gakon5 21:19, 15 April 2006 (UTC)
- Personally a lot of the characters should not even be linked. They are so minor that we'd end up with fancruft and speculation, something that actually is pretty rampant in some of the newly created pages... Radagast83 05:26, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- I took out just about all the pointless red links, redirected few to the minor characters page and such... AllySDude 22:58, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Homeland officials
editI think there's enough information about Karen Hayes and Miles Papazian for them to have their own pages now. Just putting the idea forward. --Deege515 05:56, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- The problem is there really isn't enough about them to warrant their own articles, since the existing articles for many of the 'cast'/'characters' are just bits and peices of episode synopsis plot points. They should not be made to explain what they did, only to explain their biographical information, of which we know little to nothing about. Radagast83 08:12, 8 May 2006 (UTC)
character box uneditable?
editIs the charcter box being deliberalty blocked from editing to avoid discussion on hal gardner and presidency. {{24 (TV series)}} is the code for the character list i have removed it until the editor either reveals how the box can be edited or creates an editable table.Lucy-marie 22:26, 9 June 2006 (UTC)
Villains
editIn regards to the recent addition of the various templates, I think they need to be reorganized. The seasons do not mirror well enough to where there can be a first, second, and final villain and a corresponding henchmen in addition to a final villain. The main villain template is fine as it is. I think the only other three should be initial villain and the two corresponding henchmen ones (although a better term should be used, open to suggestions). This is how I see things breaking down-
Season 1 Initial Villain (IV)- Gaines, Initial Henchmen (IH)- Carrol, Main Villain (FV)- Victor Drazen, Main Henchmen (MH)- Andre Drazen
Season 2 IV- Ali, IH- Marie, MV- Kingsley, MH- Wallace
Season 3 IV- Ramon, IH- Hector, MV- Saunders, MH- Amador
Season 4 IV- Navi, IH- Omar, MV- Marwan, MH- Anderson
Season 5 IV- Bierko, IH- Erwich, MV- Logan, MH- Henderson
This leaves out certain characters, but it primarily serves to simplify things and mirror the seasons as best as possible. Calling Rabens a final villain in the same breath as Max or Graham is weak. Mandy really was not 4's final villain as Marwan outlasted her. Two reasons why that is a pretty bad template. Also some might say people such as Amador and Erwich stood alone enough, but when the season is viewed as a whole, they were just serving their superiors, albiet with some alterior motive. This is open to discussion and debate, but I'm just using this as a suggestion, as 24 is becoming one of the most chronicled television series on Wikipedia. Andy4588 05:39, 10 Jun 2006 (UTC)
the article is too long!
editWe can split into 5 parts instead of putting all characters of 5 seasons in one page (Each season has nearly hundreads of characters!). Also, there are seasons 6,7,8 in future as well, the list will be too long if we don't split it into smaller parts. sandiego92039 12:51, 12 Jun 2006 (UTC)
Mr T?
editThe Bauers season 1. I didn't know he was a Bauer, but maybe i don't know enough
Minor edit (WTF!)
editI just spotted a section in Danish...I changed it...any explanation to why this was there would be good (wtf???) 87.51.216.221 23:30, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
General Habib
editShouldn't he be added to this list? I know he only appears briefly, but he is a key figure in the attacks and is above Abu Fayed. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Showster (talk • contribs) 16:45, 10 April 2007 (UTC).
- Yes absolutely he should be added. I put him where I think is appropriate. Although Fayed answers to him, I don't think the description should say he is "above" Fayed; "sponsor" is a more appropriate term, since "above" might mislead unfamiliar readers into thinking that Habib was directly active in America. Fayed may be reliant on Habib for funds or material, but Fayed is unmistakably the chief villain of this part of Day 6 (he does all the planning and dirty work) where Habib is more of an endnote. In an analogy to Day 2, Fayed is to Kingsley as Gen. Habib is to the German financier Max. Mike H. 23:33, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
Ok gotcha. But there will probably be another villain before the season is over, so whoever that is will kind of really be the main villain. But since they have not been introduced yet(the Chinese are still questionable), I say keep it for now.
{{spoiler}}
Why does Fayed still have "main villain" next to him?
editIt should be taken off of him, for obvious reasons —The preceding unsigned comment was added by The Showster (talk • contribs) 02:52, 15 May 2007 (UTC).
I made some changes
edit{{spoiler}}
First of all, why was one of Phillip Bauer's henchmen under the section about Fayed/Gredenko and their henchmen/associates? Second, I changed the Graem's conspirators section into Phillip's conspirators/BXJ Technologies. I put Phillip's henchmen under that section as well as change Liddy from Graem's associate to Phillip's, since Phillip was the real mastermind and Liddy was later seen talking to him I believe in the episode in which Phillip orders Gredenko to be killed. I put BXJ Technologies(Phillip's company) as part of the section since they all worked for that company or were affiliated to it somehow.
Add 24 tv movie to this list?
editI think we should add the 24 movie to this list. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.42.81.202 (talk) 06:58, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
I agree

This list is terrible
editSo, this list is terrible.
1. There are no descriptions for any of the caracters. Even for someone who has watched the show, I can't remember who half these people are. 2. Clicking on someone's name just takes me back to the same list. 3. Apparently there were about four lists to begin with, that have since then been collapsed into this mess.--BigPig (talk) 13:02, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
