Spam?

Is there any reason the KitchenAid and Sunbeam MixMaster are singled out for separate mention in the article, except promotion of those companies' products? Unless someone comes up with some sourced notability, I'm going to delete these slimy little attempts at viral marketing. --ChetvornoTALK 00:51, 6 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

whipping disambiguation

edit

Egg Beater should better redirect to kitchen-robot and not to "mixer (cooking)". Țhe mixer is a handheld appliance in the kitchen not a (cooking) while a kitchen robot includes a plastic container which it uses to whip sweet-cream, beat eggs, and homogenise different pastry dows, using flower salt baking powder water eggs maybe vanilla and sygar, kitchen ingredients. what is the diffrences between a consumer Kenwood KM070 and the mixers? 188.25.51.47 (talk) 20:09, 4 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

in excess of 100 quarts

edit

The article says that "Heavy duty commercial models can have bowl capacities well in excess of 100 quarts (95 liters)". This is formally correct (100 quarts is between 94 and 95 liters), but sounds strange. Isn't "well in excess of 100 quarts" more than 100 liters? --194.166.241.102 (talk) 22:51, 17 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

I've made another minor edit here, as using 'quarts' to refer to a volume larger than a gallon makes no sense. Colostomyexplosion (talk) 07:23, 14 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Mixers or hand mixers

edit

If this is an already decent length article about mixers in general, why was it re-titled and the lead changed to be about hand mixers? I see this was done by User:Störm in January and February.

If there doesn't turn out to be a particulary good reason to for these changes, I'm going to revert them. If hand mixers are notable enough as a subsection of mixers, then certainly a separate article could be created for them and linked to from this article with the Main template. But currently the article is about mixers in general, and the title and lead should reflect that. --Veikk0.ma 22:46, 14 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Should we spinoff egg beater?

edit

This article has a mention of the handheld egg beater. I'd be quite interested in spinning this off as it has an interesting history. Mixers and egg beaters are quite different so I'm wondering what you think. —Panamitsu (talk) 11:00, 6 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
