Mohamed El-Shenawy → Mohamed El Shenawy – In Egypt, it's common to write names similar to this one (names that contains Al or El) without a dash.. And I believe that this one shouldn't be different. - Comment - Looking at Category:Egyptian footballers, the majority of articles appear to use the dash. Nearly all of the sources here also use it, including three of the four Egyptian based sources. Kosack (talk) 07:06, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose - Even though WP:MOSAR#Definite article is dormant, it should still serve as a guide for deciding such things. The correct English form is to both include the dash and lowercase the definite article. So it should be Mohamed el-Shenawy instead. Fitzcarmalan (talk) 09:03, 3 November 2018 (UTC)
