I saw somewhere that the actual name will be "...Millionaires'..." (multiple millionaires) so maybe the title needs a slight modification? Tabitha Barf Bag (talk) 14:18, 14 June 2014 (UTC)Reply

The article needs references in order to remain here at all, much less be moved to another page title. See especially WP:CRYSTAL. If it's going to move, it would be good to do it quickly, before links are established to it. So some kind of references ASAP, especially refs that resolve the name confusion, would be helpful. not really like lotto max

edit

It sounds like the jackpot is still not the amoount won unless one wants to wait for 25 or 30 years for all the payouts to be made. The actual jackpot is thus only about half the advertised amount (the cash option). Suspect that also the jackpot will also be considered as income so the winner also gets to pay about 40 to 50 percent of the cash amount received - so the actual prize is thus only about a quarter of the advertized amount. Lotto Max pays the winner the total prize amount tax free (although obviously a U.S. winner still has to pay American taxes if he were to win). Suspect this game will also come with that great American lottery requirement that the winner has to put up with the publicity of having, at the very least, his name and city of residence published and used promotionally by the lottery unless he takes extraordinary means to protect his anonymity by hiring a pack of attornies to form a trust, llc, etc. In Canada, winners get to remain anonymous without all the hassle and extra expense. So no, this game isn't like Lotto Max in its most important aspects.

Why do you keep editing the article? The scratch game is as much to do with MMC as the draw game was. I bought three tickets in NY for the final MMC drawing December 16 and entered those tickets online. I received 10 virtual entries (wasn't picked for Vegas). I also have several virtual properties; AFAIK now that NY has the MMC scratchcard, if I buy a MMC instant ticket and enter the code, the properties I earned in the draw game will count towards future monopolies. 207.210.134.83 (talk) 20:27, 9 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

The problem is that you're showing blatant ownership of the article. Anyway, the problem is that individual scratch and win games are not usually notable enough for articles; there are many different varieties that tend to vary between regions (this is a slight exception, but still), most of the information would end up just being trivial information inappropriate for Wikipedia, and because there are not enough reliable secondary sources covering it. The scratch card is acknowledged in the article as a separate entity sharing its name with the former lottery, using the game show that was previously planned as the companion to the draw game as its companion. • I have just suggested that MMC be split into a separate article dealing with the scratch game. Regardless, I strongly believe more about the scratch game SHOULD be mentioned, and where it's available (and which other lotteries plan to offer it.) I gave one reason above, in my "asking you" why you feel the scratch game is trivial. (There was, if not still is, an article about the Midwest Millions scratch game from a few years ago.) 207.210.134.83 (talk) 15:20, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
That does have some discussion beyond the fact that it exists, which isn't much. But still, how you're handling this situation is contrary to Wikipedia norms. Don't just wholesale revert legitimate changes because you like your own "preferred" revision. This is practically an edit war. ViperSnake151  Talk  15:26, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
As the creator of this page (and who has not been able to revisit frequently), I also believe more should be mentioned about the various versions of the MMC scratch tickets. The page also needs significant improvement in grammar, etc. Tabitha Barf Bag (talk) 17:38, 12 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
