Use of subject's website
editUser:Halumian has removed inline citations from the subject's website, that indicate the source of the information shown. So readers can see the information, but have no way of judging the reliability of it. So we are getting the worst of both worlds.
WP guidance WP:RS, advises:
"Wikipedia articles are required to present a neutral point of view. However, reliable sources are not required to be neutral, unbiased, or objective."
Would be interested in other editors' views on this but I cannot see the value of excluding where the material has come from. I propose that we include citations on this page to show where the information has come from. Peteinterpol (talk) 10:13, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
- All of the links were to the same exact webpage which seems highly useless (aside from one other link that was broken). I both agree and disagree about the value of adding these repeatedly throughout this article. I can see why having sources is important obviously, but having the same exact source that is just a homepage, repeated over and over again just seems rather pointless. As I don't think this artist page should even exist with this little information, nothing verifiable outside of what the artist says, I'll acquiesce and not change it back should you revert.

- Thank you Halumian, I do believe that the page should be reverted to its previous content. Peteinterpol (talk) 19:19, 11 September 2016 (UTC)
