QUESTION
editIn the Records section - What Cristophe Lamaison has to do with Tri-Nations Tournament? France is not part of this tournament so the comparison with Lamaison's 29 points record is meaningless in the context. To be corrected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.96.212.18 (talk) 14:50, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

Morne Steyn → Morné Steyn – Contested technical request by TheMightyPeanut. Articles recently moved, with strong consensus, to use diacritics recently include Marek Hrivík, Paul Rémy, Eduardo Barragán, Stéphane Charbonneau, Toni Androić, and Adelin Benoît. All but one of those move requests were batches. Despite this rapidly emerging consensus that people's names with diacritics should be displayed as such, regardless of typographical restrictions or conventions of some English-language sources, it would appear we are not yet at the point where we can consider these moves noncontroversial/technical. We have to deal with them individually—so be it. I strongly request this move, and others like it. I also invite the addition of similar cases to this request. --BDD (talk) 03:30, 13 August 2012 (UTC)

Also, currently at Talk:Bjorn Kotze:

- Morne Karg → Morné Karg (born 1977), a Namibian cricketer
- Morne van Wyk → Morné van Wyk (born 1979), a South African cricketer
Other similar cases as BDD invited. Morné (given name) is always spelled Morné, there is no name "Morne" (for obvious reasons, think what "Good morning Mawn" would sound like...) In ictu oculi (talk) 04:59, 17 August 2012 (UTC)

- Morne Steyn → Morné Steyn – the redirection seems to be the wrong way round, the correctly spelled page redirects to the incorrect one, it would make more sense to have it the other way round. TheMightyPeanut (talk) 20:32, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- Support per MightyPeanut and BDD should be uncontroversial technical request - www.sport24.co.za Morné Steyn to stay a Bull, yes accent-stripping from BLPs is controversial, but spelling correctly is the norm and this was a perfectly simple technical request following sources that should not have been contested. - Support The "official home of the Springboks" site, listed as a reference, gives his name as Morné, in English. Ought to be uncontroversial. — P.T. Aufrette (talk) 02:23, 14 August 2012 (UTC)

Lion tamer
editWhile the description of "professional lion tamer" is obviously erroneous and parody it is notable that Steyn in well known for his specific performance against the British and Irish Lions in rugby.
I think the nickname or attribution of "lion tamer" is sufficiently noteworthy and that the "vandalism" of the Wikipedia page coupled with considerable number of memes warrants a small section in his "playing career"
