Mourabitoun OR Muratibun?
editWhy do the letters B and t switch places when the name is translated from English to French?
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mourabitoun
also, they say the b before t in this video

- Sorry, my bad. Now it is corrected. --Soman 14:21, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Splitting article
editIt ought to be clear that now there are two separate parties using the same name ([1] and [2]). Separate articles should be created for separate parties. Any takes on how the articles should be named? And when did the split occur? --Soman 11:07, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
There is no official split. The Mourabitoun remains under the leadership of Mr Ibrahim Koleilat. In the last six months, Individuals made attempts to show a split in the Mourabitoun, and to projected as a religious group based on sectarion values. Initialy these attempst have created a high level of confusion on the status of the Mourabitoun, but have since fadded away. The only remaining results of the attempt is the existence of a website of the virtual group using the name Al Mourabitoun.
The official site is www.almourabitoun.com. Against his principle of avoiding self promotion and to proove once and for all the site is the official one, Ibrahim Koleilat, the founder and leader of the Mourabitoun, provided a recent personal picture which has been posted on the website banner. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mourabitoun (talk • contribs) 09:56, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
- I've tried to find some basic sources in English to clarify details about any split, and where the "official" group stands on the current situation in Lebanon, but got nowhere. For now can people please stop adding that the group is either pro-government or pro-opposition, without proper sourcing. One week the article says one thing, then the next the direct opposite - it doesn't really help anyone. Perhaps someone uninvolved in Lebanese politics could look at Arabic sources, even maybe the two apparently rival websites linked to at the bottom? --Nickhh (talk) 20:56, 1 July 2008 (UTC)
