I don't see the need for three articles covering the same information, especially when the source indformation available on the victims isn't really enough for standalone articles. One Night In Hackney303 06:33, 11 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: moved. There is consensus that changing the title will reflect the scope better. But I moved it to the more concise Murder of Toni-Ann and Bertram Byfield as also suggested. (non-admin closure)Ceso femmuin mbolgaig mbung, mellohi! (投稿) 15:06, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Joel Smith (murderer)Murder of Toni-Ann Byfield and Bertram Byfield – Smith isn't notable, other than for this single event, and so there shouldn't be a biography about him as per WP:ONEVENT and WP:PERP. The murders are notable because of the press coverage and public inquiry into Toni-Ann Byfield's death as she was under the care of Birmingham Social Services at the time but had been allowed to stay with her father, a convicted criminal. The public inquiry led to a UK review of child safeguarding practice and the Immigration Services' involvement in the early identification of particularly vulnerable children. This requested move is based on the naming conventions for violent deaths WP:MURDERS, with the first and last name of each victim included to identify them separately. • Support per nomination. Although serial killers are subjects of Wikipedia biographical entries, there is no need for the names of perpetrators convicted in single crime cases to be listed as main title headers unless they become notable for other or additional reasons, for example Jack Henry Abbott. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 23:25, 1 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support, though the title of Murder of Toni-Ann Byfield and Bertram Byfield is a bit too cumbersome, so I'd say ditch the first use of 'Byfield' to create Murder of Toni-Ann and Bertram Byfield for something more concise. SWinxy (talk) 22:48, 3 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support Murder of Toni-Ann and Bertram Byfield as above. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:19, 8 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
