My Family (TVB TV series) → My Family (Hong Kong TV series) – There are no other Hong Kong TV series titled "My Family" with an article. Timmyshin (talk) 20:48, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support – the proposal is far more recognizable disambiguation than the current. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:16, 13 August 2016 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Procedural close as the convention on Hong Kong serials is discussed at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (television). No prejudice to reopening this after the matter there is resolved. (non-admin closure) George Ho (talk) 19:32, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
My Family (Hong Kong TV series) → My Family (HK TV series) – WP:NCA: "Acronyms as disambiguators: To save space, acronyms should be used as disambiguators, when necessary." One editor is opposing the move because they erroneously assume WP:NCTV requires "full country name". This is false, as the guideline clearly prefers "U.S. TV series" and "UK TV series". Then they claim HK isn't intuitive. We even have articles like The Nurses (ABC TV series), with ABC being a highly ambiguous acronym, unlike HK which is primarily associated with Hong Kong. Does anyone think The Nurses (American Broadcasting Company TV series) is a good idea? WP:CRITERIA: "The title is a name or description of the subject that someone familiar with, although not necessarily an expert in, the subject area will recognize." Timmyshin (talk) 15:02, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- This discussion should be procedurally closed as there is an existing, current discussion regarding naming of articles at Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (television)#Discussion at User talk:Timmyshin#Please stop moving Hong Kong TV articles. For the nominator to open this discussion while that higher level discussion is active is quite inappropriate. --AussieLegend (✉) 15:52, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
- I'm WP:INVOLVED so I can't close this, but I second the request to procedurally close. It can be reopened, if consensus supports this move, after the discussion at WT:NCTV. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 16:28, 8 May 2017 (UTC)
