Fair use rationale for Image:Dida-maluco.jpg
editImage:Dida-maluco.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Article protection?
editThe incident in the game vs. Celtic Glasgow has sparked a lot of vandalism. Maybe protection or semiprotection might be in order. Sirana 12:38, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- Done -- zzuuzz (talk) 14:29, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- There has been a lot of content removed from this article since the incident, as can be seen here. Someone familiar with the content should check it and restore it as necessary. Thanks. -- zzuuzz (talk) 14:35, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
== Of course it has - that's because the Celtic fans don't know how to exercise restraint. For god's sake, get a grip - you won the game anyway.
Illegal removal of current event evidence
editI think its aboslute terriable that video evidence of the recent events has been purposely removed from Wikipedia just to 'improve' a biography. The truth should appear on wikipedia. I think youtube has been very popular and has a reputation of being a reliable source of video. Also, video evidence is much better than the written word.
Why was it removed? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.194.152.16 (talk) 19:58, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
- One of Wikipedia's core philosophies is to respect copyright, and that includes not linking to copyrighted works posted on other websites such as YouTube without the copyright holder's permission. See WP:EL#Restrictions on linking. There is however a Sky News video story which can be linked [1]. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:16, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Material of a news event
editIt is my understand that material which is of a newsworthy value is excempt in this case. Is this not the case with the Dida video on YouTube? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.128.226.36 (talk) 13:47, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
- There is no exception for misuse of copyrighted material. Material used under fair use is not copyright violating but this clearly isn't Nil Einne 06:05, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
"A Night of Shame"
editI removed this stupid and POV heading. Please see Wikipedia:NPOV. - Soprani —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 03:35, 7 October 2007 (UTC)
AC Milian career
editremoved original headers as they are POV. someone can help with breaking them up to seasons and perhaps summarise them to more bite size paragraphs.
will try to do it on my own later, fee free to help edit Xaiver0510 05:39, 9 November 2007 (UTC)
Sentence Structure
editThis article is littered with awkward ill-fitting language, quite inappropriate for wikipedia. If I wanna read an attempt at sounding high falutin, i'll read Yeats not this pretentious garbage Lazarus89 (talk) 04:42, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Second choice goalkeeper?
editHas Dida lost his starting job at AC Milan? According to numerous reports, like this one, say Kalac is now the #1 keeper at Milan. I'm not sure if this should be put in the main article though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 154.20.20.172 (talk) 00:08, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
Citation style
editThis article would benefit greatly from using inline citations such as Harvard per Wikipedia:Citing sources#Inline citation styles . • Freechild'sup? 06:19, 27 March 2008 (UTC)
Introduction
editThe introduction will definitely be expanded soon. I'm just waiting to see what will happen to him at the end of the season (retirement? renewing for another year? go somewhere else?). sixtynine • spill it • 17:28, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
- Okay, I finally got around this weekend to expanding the introduction in addition to doing some much-needed content cleanup and adding sources. So what do you think happens? That's right, my web browser crashed and I lost everything in the blink of an eye. So, it's back to the drawing board and the changes will be up here soon. Sigh. sixtynine • spill it • 04:23, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Former footballer?
editThe article says, that Dida is a former footballer. I thought that he is a free agent. Anyway, there's no source for his retirement. --MrEskola (talk) 08:15, 3 September 2011 (UTC)
Retirement
editDida has not played football since he left AC Milan has he retired (WorldSeriesOfPoker500 (talk) 17:38, 14 October 2011 (UTC))
Goals
editIn his career statistics at the bottom, it says that he scored 40 goals for Cruzeiro, with 7 coming in the cup. It doesn't record the goals at the infobox at the top, though.
I have no idea which is right. BoredomJS (talk) 09:23, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

April 2016
editHi. In case nobody's noticed, since March 3 I've been performing an extensive renovation of this article. I (re)wrote nearly all the content a decade ago and barely touched it thereafter, and obviously Wiki has come light years since then in terms of article quality. I'm going in order from top to bottom and have added nearly 80 new citations, but this is expected to drag on for another month or so, plus all my edits are unofficial until completion. Therefore, rather than slap an ugly template on the page, I'll tell you here to please avoid making any major changes to the article in the meantime. Thanks very much. sixtynine • speak up • 16:24, 28 April 2016 (UTC)
- Update Activity on the article itself is on hold for the time being; basic cleanup of the existing content is long finished but I'm currently writing new sections from scratch in my sandbox (which has been HARD). Hopefully before the year is out this whole shebang will be sealed and delivered, and I thank everyone for their patience. sixtynine • speak up • 01:08, 29 July 2016 (UTC)
- Update 2 After a rough start, everything's going smoothly and I'm actually nearing the finish line. Hopefully all the content I've written will prove very beneficial. Once everything's been integrated I'll then do a nice big edit of the article itself, and then everything should be done. Again, thanks for putting up with me during this long process. sixtynine • speak up • 01:58, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- Everything's finally finished, and the article has been released back into the wild. Then I went back and did some considerable trimming. Overall, it looks pretty darn good, if I say so. :') sixtynine • speak up • 01:21, 30 August 2016 (UTC)
