There's a reference to 3 transactions totalling RM42. I think this might be RM42m. What a difference an "m" makes. It's all a bit of a mess when massive errors are locked into place with apparently only a privileged few permitted to make changes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.105.157.248 (talk) 07:10, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Multiple questions now that Najib is jailed

edit

I haven't found any sources for these, so I ask some questions meant for future edits to the article, especially the officeholder templates in the lead and bottom of the page.

  1. Is Najib's parliamentary seat of Pekan now vacant? Several Pekan-related pages still list Najib as MP. Do we have a source on whether an MP vacates their seat if sentenced?
  2. Is Kajang Prison being listed as Najib's residence correct for the lead table?

Change Dato' Sri Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak to Haji Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, revocation of the title by Sultan of Selangor on 13/9/22.

I was editing this in but then I noticed there are lots of other honours that appear to let him keep the title [1]. Were all of them revoked? Banedon (talk) 07:33, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

edit

I think this user has vandalized this page by deleting a lot of information and facts about Najib. It is hoped that the Wikipedia admin will take action against the user. Hamba57 (talk) 11:49, 23 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Hee Leong: fine to be WP:BOLD but why exactly did you remove so much sourced content removed, e.g. this edit? Arcahaeoindris (talk) 11:02, 28 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Hee Leong: what are you doing? Please see WP:CRIT and please also respect WP:BRD. Its important to also explain any major edits in your edit description and also please take any disputes to the talk page. Thanks. Arcahaeoindris (talk) 00:30, 14 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Suggesting removing the honour "Honoured as Father of Transformation Bapa Transformasi باڤ ترنسفورماسي" that was inserted into the subject's infobox under the title of "Prime Minister of Malaysia" for two reasons: 1) this information is inserted without citations and thus should be removed immediately, according to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons; 2) this information was misplaced. It should be listed in this dedicated section Najib Razak#Honours Hzhusha (talk) 02:00, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Right wing mentioning

edit

I think it’s worth mentioning that Razak is on the right wing of Malaysian politics, such as his association with a right wing party. Such mention should also at least include a category. Firekong1 (talk) 20:36, 12 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

I would object to this unless there's more text in the article on how Razak is on the right wing of Malaysian politics. Right now, there's no such text; a CTRL + F search for "right" finds nothing relevant. We shouldn't take "association with a right wing party" as indicative that Razak is right wing either; that should take direct sources. Banedon (talk) 02:13, 13 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Then should we edit in a couple paragraphs mentioning his ties to right wing parties? I noticed this in similar articles such as Subianto, which states that he’s right wing and give links, despite the articles not explicitly stating such. Firekong1 (talk) 20:41, 13 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I would certainly say so, and those paragraphs would need to be well-sourced. Looking at the Subianto article, there is in the lede "He has been described as a right-wing nationalist", with three sources. Something like that would be appropriate. Banedon (talk) 02:18, 15 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
