Nasser Hussain should not be listed amongst the English Muslims. In an interview in aBritish tabloid following his selection to the English national side he was asked how he felt to be the first Muslim in the English team he remarked that his father was Muslim and not him. Nasser's sister Benazir a ballerina, was featured in a sunday magazine. She explained why she had chosen to live with a black man rather than marry him. Apprently her mother had asked her to choose a Muslim partner and not live in sin therefore, she decided to live with her boyfriend saying her mother only converted to Islam after decades of being a non-Muslim wife of man who was born a Muslim. So there you have ita sister and brother admitting to being non-Muslims. ([User: Moarrikh[) 23:23, 6 June 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Moarrikh (talkcontribs)

This page needs restructuring and a lot more content. I have tried to add more bits in within the original (how i found it), but feel that much more needs to be done. Suggestions on structure are welcome.Scopey123 (talk) 16:15, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Scopey123 and others good job, thanks. I would suggest that an ODI section is needed. He had that famous games against India when he put 3 fingers up to the media after he got a century. Also i think there is generally much more needed on his test captaincy overall, how he brought in players like Vaughan, Trescothick and Flintoff. I will do some research. Birthplace

edit

As of late there have been some edits changing the subject's birthplace in the infobox, such as this one and this one. I've changed it to Madras as per previous edits. Should there be a citation in the infobox for the place of birth to prevent further edits in the future? Joelson98 (talk) 14:36, 7 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

classification of importance

edit

Just wondering why this article is classified as 'mid importance' in terms of cricket and 'low importance' in terms of journalism.

Hussein is a former captain of the England cricket team and a leading global commentator so perhaps he is a bit higher than 'mid importance' - but perhaps there are other criteria I don't understand/

Also in terms of journalism - he's quite a big deal if you watch cricket and follow it, probably in the anglosphere again a really key cricket journalist. But again are there other criteria in place which I don't understand yet?

thanks very much if anyone can clarify MiloQuest (talk) 22:49, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Proposed Edit: 2024 Asian Achievers Awards Nomination

edit

Hello,

I’d like to propose adding the following information to Nasser Hussain article:

“Hussain was shortlisted in the Sports Personality of the Year category for the Asian Achievers Awards 2024, which will take place in London.”

I have gathered independent source to support this information, which is:

I believe this addition is notable and enhances the article’s coverage of Nasser Hussain's achievements. Feedback is welcome to ensure the edit complies with Wikipedia's standards.

That looks like a rehashed press release to me. Spike 'em (talk) 17:33, 20 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
