Numbers in the 90s
editMark Gastineau (1979-88) wore number 99. that would be 5 years before the supposed change in 1984 that allowed defensive linemen to wear numbers in the 90s. Czechia2016 (talk) 17:27, 23 July 2017 (UTC)

Centers
editFrom 1979 NFL season rule change section Centers are included as the interior offensive linemen in the uniform numbering system. It would appear that since 1979 centers have been allowed to wear numbers 60-79. Czechia2016 (talk) 21:16, 23 July 2017 (UTC)
