editthis article is not very serious, specially the paragraph about Folklorism vs. reconstructionism. this name calling "Funtrad" is just a figment from a jerk i Denmark called Grølheim. where are your sources anyway?—Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.249.164.153 (talk • contribs)
well, this field isn't exactly over-studied, so we'll have to make do with whatever sources we find (WP:DUE, obscure sources may be permissible in documenting obscure topics). But, sure, "funtrad" doesn't seem to be a very widely used term. I just came across it in search of any term at all descriptive of the phenomenon. It doesn't strike me as partiularly derogatory either. The term is in use [1][2][3][4] but I don't know any more about it. --dab (𒁳) 07:49, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
Well the term "Funtrad" is impolite, depreciative and mobbish. It was used to mob groups and persons who did oppose the coward and the self claimed guru Morten Grølsted alias Grølheim. He used the term in flame wars and to mob his opponents on various post lists and his own website. The sites you refer to are his. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.202.79.26 (talk) 13:55, 4 September 2008 (UTC)
Folketro is not neopaganism
editA little comment to the scandinavian term Folketro.
While we in Scandinavia also use the term folklore, it's more normal to use terms like folkeoverlevering (overlevering will in this case mean fx stories passed down history by oral transmission).
That again are divided into other segments, such as Folketro (Folk belief) Folkesagn (Folk tales) Folkesang (Folke song) etc. etc. etc.
However the terms has NOTHING what so ever to do with neopaganism.
Regarding the term folketro it then simply points to a wide set of beliefs who has been passed down by oral transmission, and still exist in rual areas.
In short, please point your article away from the term, or it WILL be changed.
How your article explains matters in Scandinavia is nothing less than offending and racistic towards a minoity in Scandinavia.
If you want to write about neopaganism in Scandinavia, then keep it to that.

you see, the problem is this, folk(e)tro is simply the term for folk religion. Thus, correctly, the interwiki from folk religion points to sv:folktro. But in English, you will use "folk religion" for folk religion, but you will use folketro for "the current in Scandinavian neopaganism which interests itself in traditional folk religion". So this is what this article is supposed to be about.
As a comparable case: consider haqiqa. This is simply the Arabic word for "truth", therefore the interwiki at truth correctly points to ar:haqiqa. But in English the haqiqa article is not about "truth" in general, it is about the special mystical concept of truth in Sufism.
I have no idea where being "offending and racistic towards a minoity in Scandinavia" comes into this.

Neopaganism in Scandinavia → Modern Paganism in Scandinavia – Move for consistency with main page on the topic (Modern Paganism) that has been renamed. Ingwina (talk) 10:22, 14 August 2022 (UTC) — Relisting. – robertsky (talk) 12:42, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nominator and the article titles policy. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 18:15, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
- Weak oppose: While I sympathize with the rationale, I have the impression that the desired consistency should be achieved by moving the Modern Paganism article to Modern paganism and moving this article to Modern paganism in Scandinavia instead, per MOS:ISMCAPS. It is not the name of a specific organized religion. Please also see Germanic paganism. I have just opened an RM on this question at Talk:Modern Paganism#Requested move 23 August 2022. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:36, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Hi BarrelProof, by my understanding, you are agreeing with the rationale to be consistent with the main page, just that the main page has a name you don't agree with? Would it be fair to say that we should then change it to my proposal but we can change it again should the main page change its name in line with your proposal? Ingwina (talk) 18:42, 23 August 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, my quarrel is with the title of the Modern Paganism article, not with your desire to be consistent with it. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:54, 23 August 2022 (UTC)

- Support a move to be consistent with the main page per WP:CONSISTENT. I note that an RM has been opened at the main page WRT capitalisation of the title. If the consensus here is to be consistent with the main page, it would follow as a matter of course that we adopt the capitalisation (one way or another) IAW the RM at the main page. @EpicPupper:, would you also agree? - Agree. 🐶 EpicPupper (he/him | talk) 00:36, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- Support Modern paganism in Scandinavia, not the one with capped Paganism; I also supported fixing Modern Paganism, so it can come out consistent. Dicklyon (talk) 01:59, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- Move to Modern paganism in Scandinavia, provided there is consensus to move Modern Paganism in the ongoing RM there. Graham (talk) 04:35, 24 August 2022 (UTC)
- Move to Modern paganism in Scandinavia, per all the reasons given at Talk:Modern Paganism#Requested move 23 August 2022, which is a unanimous WP:SNOWBALL as of this writing. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 18:21, 25 August 2022 (UTC)
