First census after 2026
editTechnically the delimitation and women's reservation would not have ben relevant for the next general election since the first census after 2026 was planned for 2031.
I understand given the multi-year delay of the 2021 census, we are approaching 2026, and this may very well impact the next election. But we don't know yet, do we?
There is no new date for the postponed census yet, and therefore there are two big unknowns: A) whether it will be before or after 2026 B) Whether the subsequent delimitation and women's reservation will be in place before the next general election. Struggling with the many 'if/then inferences and WP:CRYSTALBALL here but maybe I'm missing an important detail. Schwinnspeed (talk) 17:00, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
