Missing one of the very 1st aerial engagements of the war
editThis page says “602 Squadron spent the early part of the war and Battle of Britain on defensive duties in Scotland. In August 1940, it moved south to join the battle, returning to Scotland in December.”, which suggests it was not joined in battle before moving south. On the contrary, RAF Drem’s 602 Squadron pilot, Flt. Lt. Archie McKellar was responsible for "The first German aircraft brought down on British soil during the Second World War" at Humbie, see: https://www.scottishhistory.org/blog/humbie-heinkel/ 2A00:23C8:7532:D201:9455:DE8B:6AAC:C732 (talk) 17:40, 10 January 2024 (UTC)
