NO FIXED ABODE definition in Local Government Finance Act Possibly Obsolete
editNO FIXED ABODE definiton in English Law
Today (3rd Sept 2011) I went looking for the reference that has been cited as justification for the claim that No Fixed Abode has a legal status in English Law. The reference cites is a fairly obscure part of the Local Government Finance Act 1988. According to the government's own presentation of that legislation found by clicking on the link provided, that definition no longer holds sway in law, the section in question having been swept away by other legislation brought about in 1992.
