  2. Dumbest suggestion yet. The species name proposed was an interim one only used for the last few years. The issue about descriptiveness is a non-issue, lots of birds have names that don't tell the whole story of the species. There are no other parakeets on Norfolk, thus the name is descriptive enough. The Aussies now call this species the Tasman Parakeet which if you must move it to would be a better one. Sabine's Sunbird talk 19:17, 4 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
