The result of the move request was: Moved. There was a clear consensus to move, but the target is completely unclear. So I'm doing a bold move to Old Niagara Falls Train Station which is actually used in the article. If this is not acceptable to anyone, please renominate this with a name other then proposed here which clearly did not gain consensus. Old Niagara Falls, NY Station → Niagara Falls (New York Central Railroad station) – The article is a clearly vague title as different railroads went through different stations in Niagara Falls. Requesting the move to the name of the building railroad of the station. Relisted. - Oppose - Your reasons are valid, but the naming conventions appear to lean towards abbreviations. Therefore I recommend Niagara Falls (NYCRR station) instead. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 23:34, 26 June 2013 (UTC)
- Comment - this appears to be supporting a move but suggesting an alternative title. Agree, see vote below. Andrewa (talk) 23:50, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- Support a move but agree that the proposed name may not be the best... but what is wrong with Niagara Falls Railroad Station or Niagara Falls (railroad station)? We only need to disambiguate further if the other stations merit their own articles, and it seems more likely that they will instead become (short) sections of this article. Other Niagara Falls train stations
editIf I knew about User:Andrewa's recommendation, I would've said something about it sooner. For the record, there are other train stations in Niagara Falls New York as well as Niagara Falls, Ontario. The current Amtrak station in Niagara Falls was originally the NF Lehigh Valley Railroad station, and across the border you've got the Niagara Falls, Ontario railway station, which is an ex-Grand Trunk Railway depot. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 22:22, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
