Hello. I am sorry to inform the editors of this article that I am failing its good article nomination. Here are some suggestions for improvement before renomination:
- Avoid peacock terms such as "legendary" and POV phrases like "undoubted talents"
- It needs a really good copyedit. I saw some WP:MOS issues, and in some places, the text is very wordy.
- In addition to the previous suggestion, take a look at WP:DASH for correct dash usage.
- Is Fonteyn's triumph in the title role. A.V.Coton spoke of "the supernormal sensitivity of feeling, interaction and mutual understanding which exists between Ashton and his heroine", and Cyril Beaumont saw the ballet as Ashton's "greatest gift" to his ballerina. covered by reference 4?
- Henze's modern music is also perceived as a reason for the few performances of this ballet before its revival in the 1990s. - this needs a citation or reads like original research
- Only the first word and proper nouns are capital in headers
- Avoid contractions in the text.
- There is some critics comments on the early years of the ballet, but what about the later years? I see some links in the external links, but text would be better.
Good luck in improving the article, and feel free to renominate when these issues are addressed. Thanks. Nikki♥311 22:20, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
- Note that there is a second article on this same work: Undine (ballet). IMO this article should be merged with that one before there is another GA nomination. --Kleinzach 23:38, 24 November 2008 (UTC)
