The result of the move request was: moved back to Chicago (franchise) per WP:SNOW (page mover nac) Flooded with them hundreds 17:49, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
One Chicago (TV franchise) → One Chicago – Once this was moved from Chicago (franchise) to One Chicago "(TV franchise)" I believe that (TV franchise) is unnecessary disambiguation. One Chicago currently exists as a redirect to OneChicago and it appears to me that this franchise is the primary topic especially from two quick google searches, one searching OneChicago and the other searching One Chicago. - Oppose, and support move back to Chicago (franchise). Article was moved without discussion on October 5, and no evidence has been provided at the article (which, BTW, is a mess) that the franchise is widely called "One Chicago", or indeed that anyone calls it that! Even if NBC is calling that, as per WP:OFFICIALNAME that doesn't mean anything – I see no evidence that the franchise's WP:COMMONNAME is "One Chicago" at this time. (Sidenote: "TV franchise" is not how that would be disambiguated – just "franchise" is sufficient.) --IJBall (contribs • talk) 03:54, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- I support a move back to Chicago (franchise). I just really oppose the current title.
- @IJBall: Just to answer your question about whether One Chicago is used, I believe that the official name used by NBC is One Chicago (NBC Store, used in promo and description in video on the Official Chicago Fire YouTube, also used in NBC's "ChiHard Fan Hub"). Some reliable sources also use it (TV Guide, Deadline Hollywood, Entertainment Weekly, and TV Line), you get the point. TheDoctorWho (talk) 04:25, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was thinking about this last night – "One Chicago" doesn't refer to the franchise, it refers to the night of programming! For example, from Deadline:
"NBC fared the best with its new One Chicago lineup..." (emphasis mine)
. So, "One Chicago" actually refers to NBC's current Wednesday night primetime schedule – IOW, it's a programming label like "Must See TV"... --IJBall (contribs • talk) 11:48, 9 October 2018 (UTC)- NBC advertises the one night of programming as "Chicago Wednesdays". Although that wouldn't be a good name since this is the first season that has ever been done.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 17:13, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
- That's now (so apparently NBC has changed it). But NBC first started calling that lineup "One Chicago", back in the summer IIRC... But that just further supports the idea that this article should not be at "One Chicago", no matter what – absolutely not the WP:COMMONNAME for this franchise. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 14:49, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose, and support move back to Chicago (franchise). As indicated by IJBall "One Chicago" to night of programming, not the franchise itself. --AussieLegend (✉) 17:13, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- Speedy close with revert to prior title - supporters of "One Chicago" can then put forth a new move request not tainted by the recent move. -- Netoholic @ 21:29, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose, and support move back to Chicago (franchise) There is no reason to change the franchise name to the programming title given to a schedule block.-TonyTheTiger (T / C / WP:FOUR / WP:CHICAGO / WP:WAWARD) 01:43, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Crossover table
editSo I've been thinking about how messy the crossover table has recently become so I put together a table using Template:Episode table, Template:Episode list, Template:Episode table/part, that I think would be a reasonable replacement to the current table. This is not a complete table but just what I threw together that consists of a backdoor pilot, two-part crossover, and three-part crossover so that everyone can get a general idea of what the table would look like if implemented with all crossovers:
Season No. | No. in season | Title | Directed by | Written by | Original air date | Prod. code | U.S. viewers (millions)

Hallie's unexpected death in the clinic fire forces Casey to team up with the police Intelligence Unit, now run by Voight, who doesn’t appear to have changed his crooked ways after his stint in prison. Shay’s excitement at the prospect of becoming a parent grows, while Mills and Dawson face some personal challenges. Casey, Antonio, and Voight discover and chase the arsonist who set the fire that killed Hallie onto a Chicago elevated rapid transit train. Meanwhile, the house comes together to support the opening of Molly’s. Actors appearing outside their series: Jason Beghe, Jon Seda, LaRoyce Hawkins

When a student is assaulted after protesting a comedian (Jonathan Silverman) who jokes about rape, Barba tells SVU they cannot arrest the comedian just based on his words. After another student accuses the comedian of rape, Benson quickly arrests the man, giving Barba a tough, circumstantial case, which propels him to call out Benson on the arrest. Meanwhile, Chicago police officer Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) comes to Manhattan to ask SVU for help. Actors appearing outside their series: Sophia Bush.

Special Victims Unit Detectives Tutuola (Ice-T) and Rollins (Kelli Giddish) come to Chicago to assist Voight and Antonio in the investigation of a serial rapist and murderer that cuts off the ears of their victims, matching the same pattern seen in New York that SVU detectives have investigated in the past. They find a victim that has survived another attack. Burgess, on her own investigation without notifying anyone in the unit, reveals that a man went to a drug store and was identified as Neil Vance. Meanwhile, Erin asks Halstead to go undercover as her extremely successful fiancée at her High School graduation and reveals her past to him going back to when she was a CI for Voight, who took her in when she was living on the streets. Hank's son Justin comes to Erin's house with blood on his hands. Actors appearing outside their series: Ice-T, Kelli Giddish, David Eigenberg

During a tailgate for a Chicago Bears game, Casey and other first responders help a man who has a flesh-eating bacteria on his leg. Soon after, four more victims come down with the same symptoms, leading to a massive outbreak. Later on, 51 responds to a call at a University that specializes in biological research. The team comes to the conclusion that the case was arson. The episode ends with Detective Jay Halstead and Officer Adam Ruzek finding evidence that points to the first victim as the prime suspect. Meanwhile, Cruz plans to propose to his girlfriend Chloe and Boden selects his firehouse to be on duty during the city's Oktoberfest festivities, much to everyone's chagrin. Panic and terror continues to ravage Chicago as more victims die from a deadly flesh-eating bacteria outbreak. The Chicago Police Department’s Intelligence unit investigates and suspects the outbreak might be an act of terrorism, as it is only affecting two hugely populated places in the city. Meanwhile, Sharon deals with the press and fumes when her complete remarks aren't included in stories. The episode ends with Dr. Halstead catching one of the University researchers destroying evidence, thus making the researcher the prime suspect---after knocking Dr. Halstead out with a heavy lab instrument. Meanwhile, after being cleared of the bacteria, Upton and Dr. Natalie Manning tend to a young victim that Upton befriended. Alternatively, if anyone thinks that version of the table would get too long the episode dropped in place of section links to the respective episode on the season article or the link to crossover article, if one exists, like in the case of "Infection." If we take that route the table would look like this:

If anyone sees a major flaw in either of these proposals I'm sure that something could be created using Template:Episode list/Serials (either with or without a general summary) but it seemed a bit limited in the means of providing episode and season numbers to me. In the process I propose that we also remove the guest appearances from the table to condense it to just backdoor pilots and major crossover events. Just wanted to get others thoughts, comments, pros, cons, etc. before implementing it. Thanks! TheDoctorWho (talk) 18:05, 24 November 2020 (UTC)

Crossovers section mentioning Law & Order, not L&O SVU
editHi,
When I was browsing the "Crossovers" section, I've noticed that it's mentioning Law & Order in a 2017 and later crossover, not Law & Order SVU. As Law & Order ended in 2010, shouldn't it be Law & Order SVU?
Thanks! Antivirtel (talk) 21:17, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
Chicago fire Multiple alarm
editI’m retired assistant chief for the Columbus division of Fire. I just watched Chicago fire Saturday when they had a multiple alarm fire it brought back a lot of great memories. It wasn’t really really authentic, but it was close. I could feel the tension and the frustration. It was outstanding. I really really enjoyed it and I just wanted to say this it was great. Had a five alarm fire once in Columbus with the largest they’ve ever had and I know what it’s like to be overwhelmed by the big bad fire, you guys are doing a great job. Keep it up. Thank you. 2603:6011:B903:5804:E535:8955:F8C3:3C7F (talk) 00:06, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
