Why this move?
editMany times in the long history of New Age collaboration has produced changes in the article. There used to be a sandbox subarticle somone made for me to play in inside the main article. Now we learn someone has RDD (Reading Deficit Disorder)- the article is too long. It is so sad the improvements have mainly been superficial mascara with dual shades of eye shadows too. The core article has always been a feeling one person insisted upon, while the others, clueless and skeptical as they always had been, indignantly trashed the writing. As a guardian, Lumos, you must take it as personally as did I. And to keep the peace(or rather to stop the Superman Frothing over trivia) you have listen nicely. I thank you again for your brilliant work. This article can be moved back to its home as a subarticle with a link. You haven't answered anything I have written on your talk page, in the New Age article or on my personal page. BF 02:44, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- I share your concern that the See Also section in the main article is now denuded and looks empty. I think a 2 level approach is needed. There are a huge number of related topics and people which could go here and the separate List page is where most would go. But perhaps we can agree on a dozen or so high level / most significant links which will be placed in the main article? Lumos3 15:20, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
New Age Portal ?
editThis page could be developed into a New Age Portal. Any commnets? Lumos3 22:07, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
For future reference there are instructions on how to do this at Wikipedia:Portal/Instructions. If anyone would like to take this up they have my support. Lumos3 17:52, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
Ideas for expanding this list
editOne place to begin is New Age; look for internal links throughout the article that are not listed at List of New Age topics. Remember to check if they are already listed to avoid overlinking. All is One (talk) 22:28, 3 February 2010 (UTC)
Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi
editLink to the article Khwaja Shamsuddin Azeemi has been edited, because name was written very wrong and due to this, link was incorrect. But, everything is alright. Cassa342 (talk) 09:13, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
Lucid Dream is not New Age
editAs above, it has scientific bases — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.149.223.117 (talk) 23:24, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
Topic
edit"New Age" is not a synonym for "alternative", "fringe", "occult", or "New Thought". It is a distinct topic with distinct boundaries. No article which does not discuss and support with citations that its topic is considered "New Age" or connected with "New Age" should be included. This list has been nothing but a coatrack for somebody's idea that everything "fringe" is "New Age". It just ain't so. If you want to add a link, be sure that the target article justifies the inclusion by explicitly explaining the connection with the "New Age" category - with reliable sources. - I did not noticed that. I'm just clearing the backlog at Category:Articles lacking sources from January 2024 and found this article. Thank you for your insights. CactiStaccingCrane (talk) 01:54, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
