Brunei

The "Historical Dictionary of Brunei Darussalam" was a source for the British Forces Brunei.

However, "Armies of NATO's Central Front", 1985, does not list Brunei as anything but "Brunei". There are some convoluted command arrangements, including influence by the Sultan, because the Gurkha battalion could potentially be utilised as an anti-coup force. I do not believe it comes under Hong Kong, despite elements being detached from Hong Kong; I've never seen or heard of any link between the two commands. In 1989 it was possibly directly responsible to the General Staff or UKLF. Many years later Brunei was placed under 4 Division in the UK, supporting this view.
