I used this link as a reference, the and used some of the text from within it.

This is not a copyright violation, as it is my own article, from my own organization. However, I don't believe I'm allowed to post my own links, so I thought I'd put this disclaimer here, and someone can remove it if they like. AlaskaTrekker 17:15, 16 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I am concerned about biased assertions in this article. Although I generally agree that the Pacific temperate rain forests have been overlogged, and that Forest Service and provincial policies along with large timber company practices have caused much overlogging, the article is written with too much good guy/bad guy editorializing. Worse, there are few citations to back the assertions made. A more balanced article can still demonstrate the extent of overlogging, while highlighting the more recent policies that attempt to strike a better balance toward preservation and conservation of the extraordinary forests along the northeastern Pacific. (I write this from Seattle, having lived and travelled in south central and southeast Alaska; western British Columbia; and coastal Washington, Oregon, and California.)

This article will get busted for unverifiable bias, but I don't know quite how to do it. So I would encourage a re-write that reads like a typical balanced encyclopedic article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trobster (talkcontribs) 05:31, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree with your reservations, and it's not this one article either; see my comments just now on WP:Ecoregions.Skookum1 (talk) 01:05, 7 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
