vandalism will be reported.. this is the second time you have made an error of judgement...Ashley kennedy3 (talk) 20:01, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- What do you mean the second time I have made an error of judgment? My goal is defiantly to improve the article and not vandalize it. I haven’t found the mistake to which you are referring to. Please refrain from discussing the article in my private discussion page and instead help me improve the article by discussing the problems which you have mention in more clearity in the article's discussion page. - Your error was in trying to use the Israeli Institute of a similar name to replace the Tulkarm institute. They have the same/similar name because they both got built with aid from the Kadoorie bequest...It even says so in the Kadoorie Agricultural High School article....the Khodori Institute, Tulkarm was built first...They are 2 separate colleges....If you are unaware of that basic fact then I can't see you being able to improve either of the articles...Ashley kennedy3 (talk) 20:29, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I did not try to replace the whole article - I just moved the section of the history to the start of the article and made a few corrections - it is more acceptable in Wikipedia to write articles in chronological order. I am very well aware of the fact that these are two separate schools! BUT, they have a common history which is related to a decision made in the 1930s which was followed by their foundation - therefore it is needed to have a similar section in both articles and not write two different "truths". Your corrections were errors.
- 1,000,000 not 100,000 was the bequest see ref given.
- the chronology was incorrect see ref given
- you were merely transferring the un-sourced errors from the Israeli Kadoorie academy article into sourced material.
The Israeli academy article needs a lot of attention being paid to it. It is a mess of un-sourced old wives tales....leave alone until you can come up with a more up to RS date source..(Anita Shapira is from 2008)....The piece in the Israeli academy version about Chaim Weizman happened after the Tulkarm academy had been built and had nothing to do with the Tulkarm academy....The chronology of the Israeli academy needs sorting. Read it and note that the date of Tulkarm opening was threes years prior to the Israeli academy...Sort the chronology of the Israeli academy out before even thinking of declaring that you are sorting the chronology out by cutting and pasting from an un-sourced article that has no chronological order that has no bearing on the Tulkarm academy....They have no common history...The Yishuv got jealous and wanted one as well. The name is the only common denominator, from 1930 the histories of the academies diverged......The Yishuv had nothing to do with the Tulkarm academy, Chaim Weizman had nothing to do with the Tulkarm academy....In 1931 (one year after the Tulkarm academy had been opened) Herbert Samuel acquiesced to the Yishuv's petition to open a Jewish academy....The academies share no history...Ashley kennedy3 (talk) 23:13, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
