Palm Tree (Los Angeles oldest) → Los Angeles's oldest palm tree – Natural disambiguation is better than an odd disambiguator in parentheses. (N.b. the apostrophe is per MOS:POSS. We'd probably need 2 redirects: Los Angeles' oldest palm tree and Los Angeles oldest palm tree). Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 07:55, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support move to a less awkward title. I'd suggest Oldest palm tree in Los Angeles as an alternative, but I'm not attached to either in particular. PC78 (talk) 08:35, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Yes, that's a good idea. Shhhnotsoloud (talk) 16:57, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support - also fine with alternative Oldest palm tree in Los Angeles. Awkward use of disambiguation. -- Netoholic @ 13:00, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Comment - I agree the current title is bad. However, the article says it is called the "Arcade Palm" and on commons it is "Exposition Park palm tree". Either of these names would be better. This article is about this specific tree, and not about whichever palm may be the oldest at any point in the future. The proposed article names make it seem like it is a title, like World's Oldest Person. --Nessie (talk) 13:57, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- I don't think it should be at "Los Angeles's oldest palm tree" since that's a descriptive title and not a proper noun, if that term if used to refer to this as a proper noun and not merely a description then it should be Los Angeles's Oldest Palm Tree but that name does indeed does seem to be just a description and not a name even though some sources do use "Los Angeles's Oldest Palm Tree". - Support Oldest palm tree in Los Angeles. This is the most straightforward variation. bd2412 T 17:35, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support Oldest palm tree in Los Angeles. -- Necrothesp (talk) 13:42, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support Oldest palm tree in Los Angeles and register my absolute astonishment that this is an article. Anyway, apostrophes in possessives should only be used in article titles as an alternative to "of" or parentheses when there are no other options (see Lady Gaga's meat dress).
