BLP concerns

edit

I've removed some uncited material, per our BLP policy. In light of the above section, I confirm that I have neither been paid nor requested to do so. Feel free to re-add it, if reliable citations are included. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:22, 30 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

I'm in the process of adding sources, but I'm very comfortable with removing text first. :) The paragraph you removed seems to have little value in being returned, though - there are better ways of covering the issue. - Bilby (talk) 11:26, 30 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

White American culture in Minnesota

edit

Re this edit by @Bohemian Baltimore: This article belongs in white supremacist categories (implied by Category:Neo-Nazi record labels). However it is not representative of white American culture in Minnesota, which is the dominant culture there, and adding it to this category represents WP:UNDUE weight to a fringe part of this culture (one could argue that it is not a part of it at all).

I understand from your comments that your intent in this edit is to avoid speedy deletion of the category for being empty, as it has no other content. There is absolutely no problem in deleting this category if it is empty, or has no eligible content. It can always be created again later if material comes. However, being the dominant group, it is quite possible that there will never be much specific encyclopedia material about white Minnesotans that would be distinct from, say, what you will find in Category:Minnesota culture. This is often the case per WP:EGRS, similar to the reason why we do not have a Category:Male heads of government. Place Clichy (talk) 17:04, 27 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

User:Place Clichy, It's a white organization in Minnesota, I don't see how the category couldn't be relevant. White supremacy is actually highly defining and relevant to white American culture throughout American history. Even if this particular organization is marginal, so what? There are marginal black supremacist groups, but nobody would argue that they aren't a sub-current within black American culture and history.
