I'm in the process of getting more references. Could you "hold on" and give me a few more days? But in general, I am concerned that those who wish to delete this article may be discounting the importance of Sister Paula's type of work. Leadership in the field of environmental issues has come disproportionately from people working at the grass-roots level. Sister Paula, her work spanning decades and having reached thousands of people directly with her presentations as well as her writings, is one of the finest examples of this type of grass-roots leadership. Sister Paula is one of the few nationally-know grass-roots environmental leaders. (Obviously, the reason she has given so many presentations---over 1,600---is that she is in demand all over the United States.) Also, I am concerned you may be unfamiliar with the importance of the Interfaith Power and Light initiative, which is having success influencing conservative political leaders, leaders who are often guided more by their faith than scientific evidence, who are immune, for example, to James Hansen's work. Sister Paula's leadership in bringing this important movement to Ohio, a key battleground state on environmental issues, is noteworthy in itself. Thanks!
