Pan Am
editIt says Pease was a hub for Pan Am flights from 1998 until 2005, how can that be? I was under the impression Pan Am was no more...Can anyone elaborate? Lostvalley 04:32, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
- This was Pan American Airways (1998-2004) or Pan Am III, if you will, a new company using the old company's name. This company has stopped flying but still exists as Pan Am Systems and still uses the old logo. 70.88.213.74 (talk) 19:40, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
Tradeport? Airport?
editHmmm... This article keeps changing titles. If you go to the website listed in the external links, it appears that Pease International Tradeport is a large development that includes the airport and a surrounding office/industrial park, while the airport is called "Portsmouth International Airport at Pease". Should this article be just about the airport or about the whole development? --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:44, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Requested move
editThis airport is located at Pease International Tradeport, but as per FAA records and the airport's web site (see links in article) the correct name for the airport itself is Portsmouth International Airport at Pease. Since this article is about the airport, I have requested that it be moved to the correct name. -- Zyxw (talk) 11:26, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- I support the move. Zyxw has done a fine job making the article clearly about the airport. Now we just need someone to start an article on the Tradeport as a whole. --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:43, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- Agree. The article was originally created to be only about the airport.[1] 199.125.109.94 (talk) 17:36, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Airlines & Destinations
editThe Airlines & Destinations list was recently heavily edited to include things like helicopters and Air National Guard services. I was going to undo these changes to make the page match the standard templates at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Airports/page_content#Body and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Airport_destination_list but before I do so, is the other information worth keeping? I think the other information besides regularly scheduled commercial service should go in text format, with a link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pease_Air_National_Guard_Base. See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McGhee_Tyson_Airport#Air_National_Guard_Base for a good example.Jim0101 (talk) 04:35, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
- Yes please! Calling the other things "destinations" is ridiculous! HkCaGu (talk) 05:00, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed, it's a big mess as it is right now, IMO. BWIAviator (talk) 22:17, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
