Seems harsh to mark the article for deletion

edit

It seems unnecessarily harsh and unproductive to mark the article as scheduled for deletion when at the same time just below there are requests for citations and further info and there hasn't been any time for contributors to assess these.

Looking at the history, the reversal of the request for further info (subsequently put back) seemed go have trigger the desire to delete the article.

We need to maintain the credibility of this forum but let's not border on the militant or allow emotion to cloud judgement.

A quick look at the links and a google search clearly support the authenticity of the article. Please allow contributors to assess the article in the spirit of wikipedia and remove the deletion notice.

Deletion is not currently scheduled; what is in place is discussion of whether the page should be deleted. Deletion is not guaranteed, and deletion will likely be stopped if you can convince editors that the subject of this article is appropriately notable. In this discussion, contributors will be assessing the article. If you wish to have an impact on whether the deletion occurs, the appropriate place to discuss it is at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Perry Bhandal. --Nat Gertler (talk) 06:03, 20 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Do not delete the Articles For Deletion template

edit

There have been repeated deletions of the Articles For Deletion template that now tops the page. It is against Wikipedia's rules to delete this template. Deleting the template will not serve your goals; it does not stop the deletion discussion. The template will be quickly restored, as you have seen, either by a human editor or a bot. At most what you will do is to keep people who are interested in Bhandal and might have information that would argue towards saving the page from getting involved in the discussion. (And the claim that there is no reason being given for the deletion tag is false; reasons given for such a tag show up not on this page, but at the deletion discussion.)

If you wish to keep the article from being deleted, what you should do is to go Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Perry Bhandal and enter into the discussion. You can find some guidelines on how best to contribute to such a discussion here. --Nat Gertler (talk) 14:00, 20 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Image, etc.

edit

There have been a number of 'destructive' reference removals (as opposed to citing corrections) at the same time an image that is copyrighted and used without the copyright holders permission (mine). Observation: It does seem the wikipedia page is being reduced for the purposes of eventually being deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:B28E:2800:5DB3:422C:1137:27CF (talk) 15:09, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am happy for the image at https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4678690/mediaviewer/rm589924609 to be used if someone wants to upload it. Consider this a public domain image. Again please confirm at contact@kirlianpictures.com to confirm. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:23C7:B28E:2800:446B:B8F5:CBED:F808 (talk) 19:28, 15 August 2020 (UTC)Reply
